Machida won round 1 the same way that rua beat him in their first fight. He landed leg kicks and rampage didnt land anything. The 2nd round no one did anything but page was busier so give it to him. Machida unequivocally won round 3.

The scoring system mightve favored rampage's style of moving forward and being the aggressor but he did little to no damage.

Machida is the only guy with anything more than a punchers chance against jones at 205. If you dont want another gsp/anderson style run at lhw(or until he cant make the cut). You need to be rooting for machida.

I think Machida presents the biggest challenge to him due to his ability close distance and then get back out of range quickly. I don't think people are really underestimating Machida, Jones is just so good. Shogun was supposed to be the better striker as well, and he got beat silly.

Nah. Machida got robbed, but I guess it makes up for his BS win over Shogun. The first 2 rounds were close, but I don't know how you give both to Rampage. Either give one to each or give a draw on 1 or both rounds. Giving both to Rampage was BS.

Mir vs Big Nog is again is so pointless and I have no idea why Frank even accepted that fight. He has absolutely NOTHING to gain from the fight. Most people think he's going to just beat the crap out of Nog again like he already did and if he does...so what? It doesn't really raise his stock or get him any closer to a title shot to beat up a guy who isn't even a contender anymore AND a guy who you already beat the shit out of. If somehow he loses it's absolutely devastating for his career obviously though that's a BIG IF even the BIG NOG Stans know that. If mir wins against big nog then in my opinion he is just one fight away from a title shot. The most reasonable fight after this is for him to fight the winner the cormier/barnett bout. Carwin and Velasquez just came off losses so it's only fair for them to get back in line. Lesnar shouldve been in the same scenario and not be part of any title eliminator match; but he is and that's that.

The real problem for the ufc is if big nog wins. I dont think he is willing to fight his protege and vice versa. So it's in the best interest of the ufc for either mir to win or for dos santos to lose his next fight.

Well, they used to train together and Evans has speed, wresting ability and power to be dangerous against Bones. I'm guessing he'd try to pressure him quite a bit. No sense in waiting back and looking for an opening. Clinch, go for takedowns and try to wear his legs down with knees.

you always have a shot. the thing that is hard to overcome is jones' length. machida likes to duck in, hit you and duck out but jones' length is going to allow him to tag machida too. honestly, i think machida should utilize a lot of leg kicks early on. if you can take away some of jones' explosion, that's gonna help you out a lot. should be interesting

- Big wins for a couple of my favourite fighters, Jung and Mir. Hominick was just reckless but Chan Sung Jung is fighting some smart fights lately. Awesome result for Mir and he owns Nogueira's soul. I'm glad he'll be back in the title discussion. He is still going to be suspect against big hitters like JDS and Cain though.
