Nice work on these threads Clutch. Too bad that there are so many posters trolling them.
The NBA is the only league I usually follow, but Euroleague is the highest level of Basketball being played right now. Also nice to see NBA players in action.

Nicholas 'Defensive roleplayer became offensive superstar' Batum

Thanks.
For people who don't follow Euroleague very closely but want to watch some games I will recommend this games:
On Wednesday: CSKA-Zalgiris (Kirilenko is probably out but Weems and Lawson play for Zalgiris) and Efes-Partizan (it should be a good game with great atmosphere,Vujacic plays for Efes,Law and Pekovic for Partizan).
There are many good games on Thursday but if I had to choose one it would be between Caja Laboral-Fenerbahce and Maccabi-Armani

I follow Zagreb pretty much (only Croatian club in the Euroleague),it will be nice to see another NBA player in Zagreb (Sean May also plays there).

Will he be able to play in the Euroleague because he was signed after the season started ?

According to their schedule (http://www.nba.com/nbatv/schedule/) it's CSKA-Zalgiris but the description seems a bit odd.
According to description it's Maccabi-Armani.

I don't know which one is right but they will probably show one of those 2 games.
You can watch it live if you want,I gave you 2 links in the first post.

Where did I say I'm a big Euroleague fan ?
I watched a few games before, now (because of the lockout) I follow it closely because it's the best basketball available.

I know more about it than average person on ISH but I never told I know everything.
You should also stop trolling and try to make people love European basketball instead of hating it.
It's a better thing to do than pretending to know everything and arguing with everyone.

Today I'll probably watch CSKA-Zalgiris and Efes-Partizan.

Javtokas blew a few really easy finishes around the rim or else Zalgiris could have the lead

Zalgiris needs Kleiza ASAP.

Spanoulis was brilliant today, i can say that for me .. he's the best player in this year Euroleague now.

He was always the best player in Euroleague. Same as Navarro more or less in offense, except better on defense. Obradovic just never allowed him to turn loose, which was incredibly stupid.

This is the way he played in Maroussi, where he had freedom to do what he wanted.......where he is unstoppable as a one to one scorer. I think Ivkovic finally realized to just turn him loose this season.

He's completely the go-to-guy on that team, they aren't a very good offensive team in my opinion. Hines is very irregular, Antic is always shooting from outside, Printezis is a hustler, and other guys are regular on offense.

I like the way he handles the game, he knows how to change tempos and that kind of stuff.

Really, that Olympiacos team is a bit underrated I think. They have a clear lack of scorers on the team, but most of the players are very good on defense. It's basically a team that if Papadopoulos makes some low post scores, some passes, Printezis has a decent game, and they hit some 3s.......then they can win games if Spanoulis plays well.

Because they really are loaded with good defensive players. It kind of looks like the same team Ivkovic made with Serbia. Except Spanoulis is a better shooter than Teodosic and he fits more natural in that do everything scorer role.

That team is surprisingly better than I thought they would be.

UNICS has good veteran players and a very quality coach. Not really surprising for me because Siena was flat the whole game. UNICS plays smart and they defend also. Just a bad game for Siena.

No one really showed up on offense except McCalebb, and he himself was terrible on defense, which just about negated his offense.

You forgot that Motiejunas also had 4 blocks and 3 steals, those 2 assists looks out of place.
You are right. There are a lot of players, lot of games and lot of boxscores to check.I must have missed it.
I will add that.
Should I also add that he choked at the end of the game, missed 2 important free throws and a game winning three ? :lol
Epic meltdown from Prokom, what a game.

I mentioned that too in the post earlier today but at least his team won :lol

Too bad Motiejunas wasn't better in the clutch, not only he could win the game for his team but he could have also be week 6 MVP.

They are on a nice winning streak lately. They won the last few domestic league games and beat Zalgiris in Euroleague.
I hope they can win this one too, that would put them in a fight for the 4th position and maybe Top16.

Simon with 2 clutch baskets

EDIT:Game is over.Nice win for Zagreb.

Kasun had 15/11 in 18 minutes.
Simon had 16/12/2

I told you they were better than last year's Cibona and you argued with me. It's a weak team for Euroleague level, but it's not that bad though as people claim. People were were saying it was worst team ever of Euroleague. I have seen plenty of worse teams in Euroleague, particularly, as I said, last year's Cibona was way worse.

this is why Diamantidis is still Pao's best player

PAO is weaker this year than last several years.

They have washed up Batiste, Maric never came back to the player he was since his injury, Tsartsaris is washed up since last year, Saras can only play limited minutes, and then they are relying on guys like Vougioukas, Calathes, Kaimakoglou, Smith, which are just OK players at best for the rotation of such a big club..........

I have a feeling that Olympiacos wins the Greek Championship this year, even with the refs always being against them.

I don't expect anything at all from PAO this year with such a roster.

He was struggling for a long time until last couple weeks. I was wondering when he would start playing good again. San Emeterio is great. I really like his game.

The "epic domination" continues..............

BTW, Bojan Bogdanovic has never played in the NBA and he is not under contract to any NBA team. I don't know why you keep calling him an "NBA player".

The same with Donatas Motiejunas. he has never played in the NBA and he is not under contract to any NBA team.

It makes no sense to be claiming that they are NBA players, because they are not.

I'm sure that Nets fans would like to know how Bogdanović is playing, same thing for Motiejunas.

Jesus San Emeterio has such a low and slow shot release, how do defenders always let him get that off without swatting it back in his face every time?

Kind of like Paul Pierce does. It's not the best example, but it's slow as hell.
