What's the matter? Dirk is certainly not in his prime anymore. Stat is still in his prime. Both are primarily offensive players. Average to bad defenders.

Nah Dirk is a good defender and it's been like 8 years now where everyone has been saying Player X will be better than Dirk and Dirk crushes him every time, yet people make the same stupid ass conclusions.

By the way, dirk is in his prime, as evidenced by his playoffs run.

:facepalm . You been watching the Clippers? Before his injury EJ was putting up 24.5 ppg, 3 rpg, 5 apg and 1.5 spg. He dropped off to 22.3, 3 and 4.5 apg to go with 1.5 spg by season end. He's also a much better defender than Ellis. Eric Gordon isn't on the cusp of being good. He's on the cusp of being recognized as a perennial all star is what you meant to say.

You don't think this season Griffin is going to be a top 5 PF?

I think he has a great shot, no doubt, but I also have to remember he missed a whole season too. Plus the whole second year "jinx". Plus you add in the fact that Eric Gordon is rising too (though I might have seconds thoughts there too) and it will be down to who gets more touches this season.

Aldridge will probably step his game up more with Roy not being the same player. I can't sleep on Randolph either, especially after that playoff run.

I won't mind if I am wrong, I just I have to consider the others too.

i think tyreke evans could have a good rebound year, but i really dont like the make-up of that kings team. a lot of guys on that team like shooting and little else. they arent gonna remind anybody of the webber-vidac kings.

im feeling like wall, kevin martin, and grifin will make the biggest jumps of any of the top players in the league.

Empty stats you damn homer.

Jeez. All he does is just catch and shoot. Nothing else. He cant create, doesnt penetrate as much as he should, and is a fragile player. He may end up top 5 if he worked hard this yoffseason but we wont know til the season starts.

Might be the worst post I've ever read. I don't even want to validate it with a response.

All he does is catch-and-shoot? You are a f***ing moron. Watch a game before you type this bullsh*t.

Gordon was along with Wade and Rose, one of the BEST guards in the game at getting to the basket. You literally have no idea what you are talking about.

He doesn't create? Did those 5 apg just appear out of nowhere? Once again, you are a f***ing moron...but I think that's relatively clear to everyone else.

All positions will be in no particular order, just listing by position:

Point Guard

Derrick Rose
Russell Westbrook
Chris Paul
Steve Nash
Deron Williams

Shooting Guard

Kobe Bryant
Dwayne Wade
Monta Ellis
Eric Gordon
James Harden

Small Forward

Kevin Durant
LeBron James
Rudy Gay
Danny Granger
Carmelo Anthony

Power Forward

Dirk Nowitzki
Blake Griffin
Kevin Love
Pau Gasol
Zach Randolph

Center

Amare Stoudemire
Marc Gasol
Andrew Bogut
Dwight Howard
Roy Hibbert

A few of these are probably unpopular opinions, but I could see them coming to fruition (Hibbert, Harden).

Tough to leave off Bosh, Bynum, Rondo, Wall, Joe Johnson, Al Jefferson, Jason Kidd, Ginobili, Iguoudala, Aldridge...but it is only a list of 5 per position.

Dude most those points were off of switches/screens.

Wall is better than Nash right now but I guess you can't tell since Nash's team hides him on d and he probably won't ever have to guard Wall.

Dude most those points were off of switches/screens.

Wall is better than Nash right now but I guess you can't tell since Nash's team hides him on d and he probably won't ever have to guard Wall.

-Not a huge Bogut fan
- Wade is most definitely better than Kobe.

great list...anyone that has Chris paul at number 1 for pgs must have been asleep during the regular season of 2010-2011...one series of 'former greatness" does not constitute him still being number 1. Rose and Williams are better.

Let them think that, once the season starts they will see that Williams and Rose are better than him. He really is the most overrated player in the league now. I mean, Rose won MVP and he's considered inferior? The season will show the true top 5.

I agree.... factor in the fact that his game is very dependant on using a multitude of screens

The reason melo is 2nd is because Lebron is the best player in the nba. And at his position (SF) Melo is better than Lebron James.

Zach Randolph is the true definition of a Power Forward...Better rebounder than both Dirk and Amare ... Better defender than both Dirk and Amare ... When it matters the most, he delivers. He got a chance to prove himself last playoffs and look what he did Destroyed Duncan & the spurs ... The only reason i can't put him in front of Dirk...That german boy can't be stopped offensively ... Zach did what he could against Thunder but Ibaka Perk & Collison were too much for him. So maybe you right i was wrong let's put it like that.

1. Dirk
2. Z-Bo
3. L.A
4. Bosh
5. Amare (Overrated)

Better?

John Wall better than Nash this year?? lol

Steve Nash went for 20 points and 17 assists against Wall without missing a single shot.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-25OthoboGg

Wall might be better, but he has a lot of catching up to do.
Boy, how retarded must you (Those who said Wall > Nash) feel right now...

Doubt it. Kobe is the best SG in the league. Accept it. He's returned to his 09-10 form. And that version of Kobe was the best SG in the league.
