Will you calm the hell down? Omg, can you just let us talk about potential deals? Does it bother you THAT much? No one is forcing you to read these threads. You can completely disregard them if it troubles you so much. And if you actually took the time to open the link it says this deal was proposed after the playoffs last season NOT just now. Seriously, you have posted in just about every thread b*tching about posters talking about potential deals. You have a choice, don't open the thread.

It was stupid to trade Perkins away in the first place. Why not try to reverse it and get Westbrook in the process?

Not being right often doesnt mean someone involved with one of the teams didnt tell him something. Lot of these "insiders" get told plenty of things that cant be proven. I dont know how we conclude that he just sat and made it up and posted it online.

So let me get this straight....Sports Illustrated also reports that the Celtics have been trying to trade Rondo...And Broussard is still making it all up? Regardless if it was a different trade scenario, I think people need to back up on dude and let him do his job...
And on the real, If I was Ainge I would also be trying to trade Rondo, given that he is their youngest "chip" and a skilled yet limited point guard...Whether its Oklahoma or Indiana, you have to deal him if the right deal comes along...

Actually, a Rondo for Westbrook isn't a bad deal for OKC, you trade away a chucker taking shots away from Durant and bring in a PG who thinks pass first and plays good D.
lol@Green for Perkins, though.

Nah...he never said Rondo was headed to Chicago or New York...He merely said it was good idea (for New York) to go after him and a center...
Again, you can't have it both ways...U can't poo-poo Brossard's rumors and then act like he wasn't the first to break that the Celtics are looking to trade Rondo after Sports Illustrated and Fox Sports are now reporting the same thing...
Slow down, and let's see how this goes...Because beyond what you think, it does make sense to trade Rondo while he has some value...

no one nailed the miami situation like stephen a smith. he said lebron/wade/bosh would join forces in miami two weeks before they did. he was adamant about it too. he said he would never speak to that 'source' again if he lied. people were just saying he was making ish up to get radio listeners. he isn't always right but he killed it on that one.
pretty sure it's already been pointed out but broussard's time frame doesn't make sense since you can't trade a player back within the same season. i think it has to be after the CBA expired in july.

The guy is a reporter. He is given information and then gets on TV or Twitter to report it. If a bunch of people said NY or Chicago a few days prior, it's not his fault that they were wrong. You guys act like he's spouting his personal opinion or something.
Anyway, OKC should have made the trade. I like a Rondo+Durant+Harden combo more than Westbrook/Harden/Durant. Not sure what Green offers though...

Does Broussard even think about what he says?
He broke at least 2 trade rules in that scenario. He said after the season Boston made that offer, but that's impossible because not only would Green be a Restricted FA, but you can't trade back for a guy until after a year.

I actually can see us trading Rondo you know. Doc said today, on handling players mentioned in trade talks: "It's not going to be the last time. We're in a grown up business. We always have been. You just try to be as honest as possible to him, and you go from there."
Sounds like "being honest as possible" could mean "we'll trade you if we get the right deal".

Westbrook has room to improve and that's where this potential deal goes sour. He won't be doing the same boneheaded things that he did last playoffs next season. On paper, this is a great deal. A pass first guard dishing it to KD is what OKC needs, and the Celts need a scoring point guard to revitalize their aging offense.

The thunder would be stupid to do this deal.
The thunder need to stop playing games and trade Westbrook for a REAL big.
They need to go to the lakers and trade for pau Gasol.
Westbrook for Gasol.
This would make the thunder legit.

Is it me or are trade suggestions from Lakers fan usually the nuttiest? The Thunder's current roster would mutilate what the Lakers have. I doubt they're just going to give Harden and Westbrook up for Gasol and Brown + a pick. The chemistry is definitely in OKC and like I said, Westbrook is not a finished product. If he's going to be traded it needs to be for someone of his caliber. I also think Harden earned a starting spot on the Thunder with his recent playoff performance, what has Brown done in the same vain recently? Gasol?

Thunder won't do that trade. Rondo's a very good player but how much better is he going to get from where he is at now? Meanwhile, Westbrook... the sky's the limit for him. Top 5 in the league? Perhaps one day

I wasn't serious man.
I would LOVE to get rid of both of them to gain westbrook and harden. Those guys are straight ballers. A BEAST, young back court.
To get that for Gasol and Brown?
Maybe a few years ago, but Gasol wasn't shit last year.
now, if Gasol plays well and we deal him plus a pick for Westbrook, We are giving them a legit scoring post option plus a pick for westbrook. I would LOVE that deal. We are trading big for small, something you don't do but we have bigs. We need a point. A young one, at that.

Well this season or next they both are Top 5.
Point for Thunder being they maybe need more pass-first pg than Westbrook is. And they get that in Rondo, so they can run and gun as ever.

Bad trade for both teams. RW is only 23 yrs.old while Gasol just turned 31. I only trade him for a DH12 or CP3 type of players.
Kobe needs a good low post scorer for him to win an NBA Championship. Gasol played like crap in the 2nd round of the playoffs. The Lakers were swept by the Mavericks.
