I'm a little disappointed.
Last year there were offering regular season package for $100 and playoffs package for $70.
That's $170 for the whole season.

Now we had lockout, there are less games and greedy bastards decided that it will cost $160. That's even more than last year considering there's less games.

Wtf prices almost doubled?! The "team" package costs more then what the season package did last year, fake HD-option too.

On the plus side, even tho its no MLB.tv yet, the service has gotten better and better for every year. Remember the first year? Games showing after schedule.. :facepalm

It isn't doubled. This year you pay $160 for FULL SEASON,last year it was $100 for regular season and $70 for the playoffs.
Also it seems like you get premium options this year (you can watch every game of the season whenever you want, live rewind...) for $160.

Yeah I tried it via my MacBook, the "PC" is too far away. Quality is OK, not great. Might be my LCD which isnt of the latest model. I would really like to see if it works with, say Samsungs "browser" for example. That would be neat and a reason to upgrade =)

Perhaps different deals with the governments in some countries? Extra to cover the red tape and fees some places?

Scratch everything I have just said. That $245 is approximate pricing and we will be billed in USD. So the league pass people are just retarted, it will cost us about $215 Australian then.

Clutch
12-13-2011, 05:24 AM
I see why it's more expensive than last season now because they have included all playoff games which I don't want anyway as they are on tv. There isn't a choice for standard and premium anymore either.

110 pounds is still a lot cheaper than $250 Australian.

I'm not. It was about $160 last year, which I figured was reasonable for the full season. Not buying this year, but I guess since the NBA is currently doing everything they possibly can to turn away fans, they at least get points for consistency.

Same for me man its absurd. It cost like $160 last season for a full year and now for a condensed season we have to pay more. Also our dollar is stronger, why is it more in Australian dollars?
Because they can...

It's like when Adobe was selling shit in Australia and they decided to double the cost, or how it used to be in iTunes where the cheapest you could sell an app for was .99c in the US, but they'd charge you $1.19 in Australia, even when our $ was worth more. Xbox are the same, when you buy Xbox space cash, in the US you get 80 points per dollar. Australians get 61.

Scratch everything I have just said. That $245 is approximate pricing and we will be billed in USD. So the league pass people are just retarted, it will cost us about $215 Australian then.
Even still, there's no reason why we should have to pay more than everywhere else.

Same price in France. 170$ for 1 team and playoff. 220$ for the whole regular season and playoff package.

Last year was actually cheaper if I remember correctly. This year :
- They go for a Lockout
- They remove 16 games of the regular season
- Lot of guys are not in game shape (lol metta world peace)
- B2B2B will means tons of blowout because teams will give up at least one of the 3 games. The teams having 5 games in 6 days will not help either

And yet they rise the price ? Probably for Basketball reasons
The worse part is that I will probably pay the full package

Before you get it, keep in mind, Canadians get more blackouts than any other country I believe.

We get a lot of games nationally broadcasted on TSN, Score, RapsNBATV, Sportsnet1. Every Raptor game will be blacked out, and usually one or two games a night will be blacked out (usually the best ones).

That's part of the reason why Canadian price is so low. I've had it for two straight years but I'm considering not buying it because each year there are more and more blackouts. But it's probably worth it for the archive (can watch late games in the morning, skip through all the stoppages and stuff).

Was Hulks NBA League Pass Broadband legit, just like the real thing? Good quality and all? Same featuers? No blackouts?

I don't care about the price, I will pay $500 for it, it's still a great deal in my eyes. I want International League Pass, but I live in the U.S., is that possible at all? How do I do the proxy thing?

But couldn't we get the ILP here? Meaning no blackouts?
Blackouts are based on the country/local area. We get a lot them.

It's worth it for the archive though (every game is available right after it finishes...and its there all season). I almost prefer watching games retroactively in the morning because instead of it taking 2.5 hours or staying up late, you can watch a game in 40 minutes (skip stoppages), but you gotta avoid the spoilers.

If I just bought it and gave out the password how many people could use it now?

I did that a few years ago when the broadband was new and I had all kinds of people watching...probably at the same time.

Im gonna buy it whatever it costs. But I wont need it often. I just use it on my phone and to watch games I missed in the morning. I wouldnt even be using it at night.

If I just gave the info to 5-10 people would they all still be able to use it? I know at least 10-12 people had it when I did it last time. But that was a while back....

I heard they cracked down on that pretty hard. To the point where only one person could stream it online at a time.

Doesn't work like that anymore. I let my friend use mine last year, but it kicks the first person off if the second one logs on. They can use it...just not at the same time.

Yea I figured they might crack down. I had half a forum with my login info at one time. I might still do it elsewhere but too many people on ISH to even bother.

When I said I might still do it elsewhere I meant somewhere with few enough people that there might only be 1 or two even trying to use it at once and the first would get to use it(assuming only one can at a time).

I know a couple people in australia/europe who wouldnt likely be using it at the same time. If they cant use it at all outside the country I boughti t....oh well. Wont keep me from buying it.

And that means what to me? People selling a product I want get paid for it. If they charged more than I cared to pay I wouldnt buy it. I spend like 3 times what league pass costs each year buying a 75 cent can of soda at work a couple times a day.

I understand if people dont wanna pay and get it from you. **** it. Get what you can get. I try my best not to knock any means of getting paid that isnt hurting anyone.

But it's probably worth it for the archive (can watch late games in the morning, skip through all the stoppages and stuff).

so meaning they blackout games that are televised on national TV? then maybe it's not worth while to go through Canadian proxy

CAN SOMEONE HELP ME?!

I know that, if you have nba league pass broadband, nationally televised games (and games in your state maybe?) get blacked out if you live in the US.

I was wondering if the same restrictions apply to international nba league pass customers aswell (i live in the UK).

I'd really appreciate (+rep :D ) if someone could let me know. Thanks in advance...

I had it last year in UK and nothing was blacked out, all the games they were showing on ESPN I watched normally on LP
