I was thinking the Jebus episode was after that slight animation change that seemed to coincide with it starting to fll off...and having looked into it...it was. It was season 11. Id say classic simpsons ended at like season 8 or 9. Season 9 had the Carnival episode when they lost the house and the new york episode.

Looking at season 10s episode list...yea.

That was the end. It was still good. And its not bad now. Its a decent and amusing show. But season like...6?

I just pulled that number(6) out of my ass and these are the classic episodes from it:

The shining parody treehouse of horror that also had the time travel thing with Homer killing all the dinosaurs.

Homer accused of grabbing that girl after the candy convention

The stonecutters episode

Bart vs Australia

The 25 grayhounds episodes with the "See my vest" mr Burns song

And the last 3 were the Lemon tree, Marge as a cop, and Who Shot Mr Burns.

Just classic top to bottom. Back then they had shit like Bleeding Gums Murphy dying and lisa playing his song on the bridge at night as it ended. Homer and Marge riding off on the bike to beatles songs.

There was feeling to the stories. Now its just wacky shit and gags.

It was at its best...the best show ever...period. Animated or not. The best. But it lost the magic and has been going on for another like...14 seasons?

I saw every episode of like 12-15 seasons and now there are full seasons ive missed. I'll catch up one day but...no time soon. I doubt its gonna be on netflix....ever.

I agree, from what I've seen, it isn't what it used to be. I've seen a few new episodes here and there and sometimes they're pretty funny, but it was among my favorite shows in the 90's, used to watch all of the new episodes, but I don't think I've watched it regularly since 2000 or so.

The Simpson this season has actually been good. The last 3-4 episode actually felt like full complete Simpsons from years ago, when they were funny all the way to the end.
They had a couple of seasons, where all the jokes stopped about halfway through.

I don't know if they revamped the writing team or what, but I've been really surprised.
