The Lakers want Paul and Howard really bad. The Lakers must feel like that kid who's parents could buy him the Christmas presents he wants but they just won't do it just to be diks. And keep giving him false hope.

With West to Pacers ... not sure who CP3 passes to in the dome :oldlol:
I think the Lakers are making a mistake going after him... they don't need a super star point guard to pass the rock to Kobe or Howard.
That's just it , their priority is to seal a deal with Orlando and land Howard.
even fish would look brilliant passing the ball to the rim for howard.

Back to square one, back to where it should be. Come on, nobody wants to see a Sterling owned Clippers franchise that has been a laughing stock for the last decade land Paul only to lose him in a few years.
Let him go where he wants to, the true mecca of the NBA, where every superstar dreams of playing, the greatest franchise in NBA history.
Here's to a Kobe/Paul/Howard dream team! Hope is still alive for the LA Lakers. :applause:

This could make D12 a bigger possibility.
The Nets are losing patience and are expected to drop out this week if they can't get DH12. Dallas has no means to get Howard this year. Unless Dwight stays with Orlando he will be a Laker because he wants to play with CP3.

If this is true, Lakers are ****ing retarded. Consider the package that New Orleans wanted from the Clippers and there's no way the Lakers meet that, third team or not. The demands at this point are outrageous, they wanted a serviceable center in Kaman, two young prospects in Bledsoe and El-Amin, a 20 ppg scorer in Gordon AND the unprotected Minnesota pick for a highly talented but injury prone point guard.
The rest of the league should just troll Stern and refuse to deal for Paul.

Can't trade Kobe. He has a no trade clause and a killer contract.
The only place that would take that contract and he would agree to join would be NY.
Can you imagine though: Miami with Lebron/Wade/Bosh vs NY with Amare/Melo/Kobe/Chandler. All star game that counts. That would be some epic basketball right there.

Stein has concluded that
1) The Lakers can get Paul (they cannot, it would take even more than it would to get Dwight). The league does not want to trade Paul.
2) Because of this and because the Nets lost out on Nene, Dwight must be coming to NJ.

The NBA will lose it's real fans if that were to happen cuz they resemble WWE more than a pro sports league. Stern's "ship" has already taken some serious hits with the whole superteam thing that he supposedly didn't know about as commissioner, the CBA thing, then the "for basketball reasons" response. If the rumors are true and he blocks this trade for a third time, he's done.

Yeah...cuz according to you haters the NBA is ONLY fixed when the Lakers win. As opposed to NOT being fixed when ANY OTHER TEAM wins....right?!
Like I said before, if Stern blocks this deal , he's gonna make the NBA WAY too much like WWE, where the chairman, or person in charge can just step in and decides who they want to win. But according to you, something like that won't bother people at all....right?! So....according to you, if that's the case, then why even bother having a playoffs, to TRY to convince people that the league is legit?! The fact of the matter is, if Stern had given a REASONABLE reason for killing the deal OTHER THAN that "for basketball reasons, people wouldn't be either making a joke out of it, nor really be that upset about it cuz his explanation would've made sense. He couldn't give one cuz he didn't have one, and y'all just letting y'all Laker hate override simple common sense.:facepalm

Try again:applause:
he will be bothered only when his team is fcuked in the a$$ by david stern...
for now...its like fcuk the lakers...its good they are getting screwed...

I've never said anything close to that.
So if anyone disagrees with you, that is how you interpret it?
Are you 5 years old?

Yeah, I already know that, which is exactly why I said, they're letting their Laker hate override common sense. If Stern had stopped Lebron from leaving Cleveland "for basketball reasons" they'd be doing the same thing too.

The irony of Laker fans complaining that Stern fixes outcomes is too much.
The NBA has more fans than it ever has.

i will tell you this....Stern has ZERO reason to be involved in a trade that was agreed upon by its ACTING GM Dell Demps
He basically override Demps decision to take care of the minority (Lebron ****ed) owners...like D Gilbert/M Cuban
interesting
I think Sac might actually do it because it gives them a deep front court.
Gasol-Cousins-Hayes-Hickson
They could easily flip hickson for a young swingman like OJ Mayo.

problem is no matter how much the deal makes sense...the Kings will NOT help lakers get any star...forget about super star player

LAL: CP3 Ariza
SAC: Gasol
NO: Tyreke evans, J Thompson, LAL and DAL 1st round picks, TPE
I like this....but would want Okafur instead of Ariza
Gasol n Cousins would be a cool to see. But I think Stern n company would still want to see more.

it makes sence and i could see why each team would make the deal
but remember stern is running the hornets trades and he is over valuing Cp3 right now. sadly he would prob want cousins and evans.

They r desperate in Sac...Gasol would bring them hope.

The Queens need to win now so they can convince Sacramento to
build a new arena. They do help the lakers but they also help themselves
tremendously. What do you think of the deal from the hornets perspective?

they have a pretty good young core
evans was injured last year and is going to come out hot this year
thornton was a good surprise for them last year and i think has potential
cousins has a shot at becoming the best big in the league
their only mistake was drafting the going to be bust that is jimmer
but i wouldn't gut the team to get gasol just to make the playoffs as the 7 or 8 seed.
keep your core and try and build around cousins

Sometimes you gotta do whats best for YOUR team. Get too stuck on other teams you can f*ck yourself over

I know stern would try to ask for more but with the clippers unwilling to
part with Gordon this package beats their package since it gives them
even more cap savings and a proven young talent.
Since the T Wolves were interested in Gasol and offered the #2 pick for
Gasol. Why not revisit the deal?
LAL: CP3 Ariza
MIN: Gasol
NO: D. Williams, Wes Johnson, TPE, LAL and DAL 1st rounders.

Honestly you guys, the Lakers and their whole entire organization can go f*ck each other, no disrespect to Laker fans, you can't choose what team you like.

I think the only way a deal gets done with Paul going to the Lakers is if they send Bynum. The league wants a face they can sell to potential buyers and he's the only guy the Lakers have that would truly work.

How are the Lakers supposed to improve the deal when they gave away one of their big assets? Sounds like New Orleans is just trying to gain some leverage over the Clippers.
Seems like Lakers fans still feel entitle to their entitlements.

ya, i don't believe that to be the case. why doesn't kupchak just come out and say they're not going after cp3 though? tick off stern? or maybe they want the clips to think that? hmm
i just want this whole dwight/cp3 situation to get over with so the rest of the FA chips can fall

thats why i was saying the kings, like the clippers, should stay away from the cp3 talks.
Stern is simply asking way to much from all teams right now.
If i were the clips i would tell stern our final offer is gordon/minnys pick for paul and if he declines i would tell him we are walking.
