However, as an NBA fan as much as I appreciate Kobe, I just cannot get past his awfull game 7 performance and him being bailed by Gasol.

How does this test for significance account for game 7? Well Kobe's rebound total has p value of less than .05. Meaning, getting 15 rebounds in that particular game is not something that just occurred by random chance. He made a serious significant effort and change in game style. And knowing that the team who got more rebounds won every game of the series, which was heavily discussed, and the out come of this very gritty game, that is impressive.

First of all, what are you talking about? I didn't say anything about the series. I just talked about Kobe's game 7 performance. Second, I didn't say anything about looking at statistics only, I just said if you are going to use stats then use it right don't go around posting PER (which is a formula that is full of arbitrary constants and makes little mathematical sense.
