Well Christmas is one week away. Scent of pine trees is filling the house via an artificially scented candle, bad extended relatives are scrambling to find drug-store quality toys for kids whose ages they don't quite know and the acting talents of Sinbad and the Terminator are gracing my television.
So I was inspired to make a thread for everyone to discuss what holiday goings-on are going on in their lives in this week leading up to Christmas.
* What gifts are you buying?
* What TV specials are you watching?
* What songs are you listening to?
* How's the tree looking?
* Need last minute gift ideas?
* Visiting family annoying you yet?
* Excited about the Christmas games?
Gather round the fire place and let it all out in here.
7 Days!

7 Days!
*I put 600 cds on an external HD for the family in Chicago and I got my son an Xbox 360 w/kinect. I'll still need to get him little stocking stuffers but I'm about done.
*Not watching anything but the Bears and Bulls.
*I have a lot of X Mas music, don't really dig it too much, probably going to play a Temptations X Mas though.
*Moms is visiting from Chicago from the 20th-28th and she's picking out a tree with my son.
*No last minute gift ideas needed and I don't see my fam too much so I can soldier through any annoyances.
*Oh, yeah, been looking forward to them for a long time.
Happy holidays fellas.

 I think they learned their lesson about posting on the internet.
As for me I'm going to the Panthers-Bucs game on 12/24 to see Cam Newton break Peyton Manning's rookie passing record. Then I'll be up late putting crap together. Some bourbon and cursing will be involved.
Christmas day will begin with my daughter getting us all up way too early. Relatives coming over later in the afternoon for some prime rib, booze and basketball. Fun ensues.

YES! I never appreciated the cheese until last year. I accidentally ate it thinking it was the butter and i finished the whole cheese section off in like 15 minutes. Shit was gooood.

That sucks. Where do you work at and what time? Can you at least celebrate before or after you work?
I hope it snows on Christmas. Christmas Eve and Christmas are the two days I have absolutely no problem with if it snows.

I'm kind of disappointed. We used to have Christmas over here and pretty much do a Thanksgiving type dinner with a turkey, stuffing. But now that we go over to my aunts she'll get a turkey once in a while but mostly just makes some kind of pasta dish. That's what she's making this year. Don't get me wrong, it's delicious. She can cook really well. But Thanksgiving and Christmas, I want turkey.
