Refreshing. Some of the episodes are extended. They look and sound awesome. I got them as a gift for Christmas. I'm also interested in watching some of the extras.

Some bad news though.....Starz is not exending it's deal with Netflix beyond the end of February 2012. That means only 3 or 4 episodes will make it onto Netflix before they're pulled in March. 2. I thought they killed that lady? I forgot the names but the husband and wife who were the owners of Spartacus, when they overthrew the house I swore he killed them both. Why is she still alive?

3. I'm guessing we'll see what happened after that blood bath because it appears they are still slaves?

The prequel is just as good as season 1. Ask anyone. You probably won't be lost if u don't watch it, but u won't regret it if u watch it. It gives more background and life to season 1.

A lot of people are complaining about Liam McIntyre….saying he’s not doing a good job or that he’s too small. To me he’s doing just fine. He lost a lot of weight for another role prior to Spartacus and I’m sure he’ll improve throughout the season.

I have gotten used to him. He is nowhere near as good as the first spartacus, but I am glad the show is going on still. I saw the fourth episode on tvlinks and it is setting it up to be pretty damn awesome. (if you use tvlinks, the putlocker links always works)

What's up with this political correctness shit they are forcing in on the plot? We now have a gay dude in a gladiator army. We got something around 29 badass men gladiators and an ex-slave woman who go in to rescue another woman, by the end of the mission besides a beat up Spartacus the survivors are two completely uninjured women and the dying homosexual guy :facepalm :facepalm

They have really shifted the story from spartacus the other parts is well enough done to keep some entertainment. its unfortunate this new guy has to follow up such a great actor.

this show has really been bad IMHO.. everything is all over the place theres no structure in the script no reason to why everything is happening. And the changes in actors is really annoying.. like Naevia. and spartacus's new girl is just super annoying. If you watch season 1 how important his wife thing was and now its like as if nothing happened. im just really dissappointed so far with the show.. and the lack of sex scenes is another -10 points

FINALLY, the show is back. This last episode was great. Just like the original season 1...that took 4 episodes to suck me in as well. Now there are great plot lines, reasons for violence, etc :cheers:

Have you felt that the new Spartacus is inferior to Andy in combat and martial skills as well? The fight scenes with him in it are not as smooth and fancy as they were with Andy.

I'm gonna give Liam McIntyre all the chances in the world to succeed. He definitely doesn't have the presence that Andy Whitfield had. One scene where I felt this was evident was when the new Spartacus first met Gannicus and it felt like a fan looking up to the star player....at that moment Gannicus just seemed to ooze "it." Another reason why I think Liam's Spartacus has lost some luster is cause more characters are the focus of this season. Crixus, Oenamaius, Agron, Gannicus, Glaber, Lucretia, Ashur....they're all getting major minutes.

It wouldn't hurt too if Liam bulked up a little more. Still I think he's doing fine. Yeah you might be right....maybe Andy just pulled off the fight choreography a bit better.

Yeah like everyone said, that's the Egyptian. I had a bad feeling when Oenamaius was fighting him. Even when Crixus was fighting him I had a bad feeling. I think Spartacus or Gannicus are the only ones with the skills to beat him.

They are very close, I like Doctore better so it was a homer pick :lol

Doctore is easily 10-15 years older than any of the others. He's even older than the late Batiatus. In real life Peter Mensah is 52 years old. I think Gannicus is the best fighter. He has more experience in Gladiator fighting than Spartacus.

No. There were more sex scenes in the first half of this season. The second half has focused more on building what looks to be an awesome ending.

Yeah I was wondering how they were gonna wrap it up in 1 episode. I think they will kill of Glabber though so next season the whole Roman army comes together to take them out.

I saw a documentary about the real Spartacus, he had like 100k troops at his peak. There's gonna be epic battles next season.

I really liked how this season wrapped up. It may have started off a little slow, but the last 5 episodes all had me on the edge of my seat. I was also shocked at how many main characters they ended up killing off.

DeKnight: She's completely dead. We looked at what was coming next with Crassus and Caesar launching a full-scale war against the rebel slaves. Ilithyia and Lucretia didn't have a place in that world. There was no scenario that Crassus was going to take those two with him or take Ilithyia with him. Crassus doesn't know them. They would be damaged goods no matter how you sliced it. Could she come back in a flashback? Absolutely possible, but no plans at the moment.
