Just to be fair, Bynum's stats would be a little different if he didn't miss those 4 games due to that suspension from last season, was the #1 option on his team, and if he played as many minutes as Howard did.
I suggest you check their per 36 minutes stats.

Bynum can't handle double teams, he is lucky to play with Kobe and Gasol where he gets a lot of easy baskets. He also gets gassed pretty quickly, he is not conditioned well enough to play heavy minutes yet. I love him but Howard is clearly the superior player until Bynum proves himself.

I'm not arguing that Bynum is better than Howard. I am just saying that production wise they are actually pretty close and that this comparison is a lot closer than what some of the people are saying it is.
per 36 minutes...
Bynum - 18 ppg, 14.6 rpg, 0.8 apg, 2.2 bpg, 51.4% fg, 53.6% TS
Howard - 17.4 ppg, 13.9 rpg, 2.1 apg, 2.1 bpg, 58.8% fg, 56.1% TS
It's closer than what most people think.

I'm really starting to question TNT for adding Shaq to the Inside crew.
So far he's come across as both stupid and emotional so I personally can't wait until they show him the door. Barkley already seems to be tired of his childish antics.

How misleading. Dwight would kill on the Lakers. He'd probably average 23/15/5 assists if he came to LA. Seriously. Kobe and Gasol would open up his game tremendously.
Bynum's beginning to remind me of a young Jermaine O'Neal, who thrived early on with the Pacers because teams also had to pay attention to Miller, Artest, etc. Once it became O'Neal's team he still put up numbers but did so at a less efficient rate, and was never really a true 1st option.

That's always true. He literally pulls shit out of his ass when talking about Dwight. Stephen A destroys him every time Dwight is mentioned. Was glad to see Stephen mention the jump hooks with both hands, shows that Stephen watches Dwight and Skip doesn't.
Skip needs to stop talking basketball forever and get some better hair dye.

Jermaine was never efficient to begin with.....

I'm thinking specifically of the season where he put up 24/10 on 45%. I thought he was healthy up until the playoffs. Either way, he was more of an Alonzo Mourning type of guy forced to be the man offensively and it just wasn't a good fit. I feel Bynum's the same way.

Yes, he was. O'Neal put up like 19/11 for a couple years on close to 50% shooting. What's crazy is that he finished 3rd in MVP voting after going for 24/10 even though he only shot 45%, which is awful for a big man.
I think part of O'Neal's offensive decline was because he mysteriously got rid of a very effective hook shot in favor of a turn around jump shot. I'll never understand why he did that.

Jermaine put up 24/10 with 45% shooting in '04-'05 and he only played 44 games that season. He was definitely not 3rd in the MVP voting that season. He was 3rd in the MVP voting for the '03-'04 season though. Jermaine put up 20/10 with 43.4% shooting in the '03-'04 season.
What years would you say Jermaine became the man over Artest and Miller? I think it was pretty clear cut that O'Neal was the man/#1 option in '02-'03 and that was his best season.
I am not sure if your theory about Artest and Miller made him better is correct here....

Oh okay. Guess I remembered wrong. All I'm sure of is that he shot a decent percentage at one point and then it just dipped off, which ironically coincided with people putting him in the MVP discussion. :oldlol:
Well if Artest and Miller didn't help him by directing defenses attention, the he clearly benefited from opposing teams not expecting him to put up numbers, and once teams did adjust he struggled to score efficiently.

Shaq is definitely insecure about himself. He is threatened by Dwight even though there is no reason to be. One of his favorite players is Javale who is average and Bynum who will never be healthy enough to be a threat to Shaq legacy wise.

You said "every" decent big man has a career night, so I posted every Center this year who's played them, all of them are decent or better, most are even all stars, and they put up pretty unspectacular numbers, and downright terrible compared to Dwights tonight, including Bynum.
You should've said any decent big man can have a career night off of GS last year.
GS has a different roster and a different coach this year, not that fair to compare.
But you're not impressed by 45 and 23, ok, that's fine sport.

He has, he does and he will continue to.
I have a feeling his hate for Dwight stems from Dwight trying to taking one of Shaq's nickname, Superman.
Imagine Wade nicknaming himself as "The Belcher," and saying "I'm the real deadliest snake in the world." I'm guessing Kobe wouldn't take kind to this. Then when Wade is asked by the media why he thinks Kobe is upset about this, he says "I don't know but he should be helping me develop and grow as a player rather than being upset."
Or imagine Kobe declaring himself as "Air Kobe." Eh, definitely wouldn't go over to well. But Kobe didn't do this, rather Kobe went up to Jordan and asked for advice on how to improve his post game, as a real student would and Jordan helped him out. If Dwight really wanted Shaq to help him out and asked him on an interpersonal level rather than allowing it to become a mockery from the media and then acting like a victim, this hate may not exist.
But Shaq is a terrible analyst and was put in his place by Barkley.
Shaq reminds me of Payton who was also a terrible analyst.
Gary Payton disputed Kevin Garnett's 2009 All-Star selection (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vtyCHoZ4oiw&feature=related)
Gary Payton disputed Tim Duncan's 2009 All-Star selection (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dbzurp7ChFM&feature=watch_response)
But in Payton's defense, as for team's success go - I did feel Monta Ellis should have made the all star over Westbrook last season but because GS is a losing team, he was never going to get that nod.
