Dirk is the definition of Extrovert...Nash as well. Theres a reason they say he's taken a minute getting in shape.

Based on reports an Introvert to me would be Pau Gasol, Rondo(Breaths basketball)

Kobe isn't really introverted. He's not extrovert like Wade and Lebron but he's just more discrete. He goes out, he's just real low key

Eric Cartman

Introvert: Tayshuan Prince

Kobe is surely introvert. During the last Olympics, they were saying Lebron and Kobe are complete opposites. Kobe hardly talks. He is reserved. Lebron always talking and making fun.

yeah, there are a lot of introverted players. Most likely because they grew up so devoted to the game. they saw basketball as a way out of the hood, so it became their life lol. But, for me, Tyreke Evans is the most introverted player i've seen. I remember watching His ROY acceptance speech and I could hardly hear even with a mic :lol

I'm sure a lot of it's based on context. A guy like JJ Reddick might be introverted on the Magic, but I doubt he'd keep to himself if he was partying at Duke.

Wade & LeBron are both very extroverted, that's why they get along so well. Bosh leans towards introvert, he likes to sit quietly and read his books.

Most players and people in general are extroverts.

Introvert: Tim Duncan, Kobe, Wilson Chandler, Ray Allen(Maybe)
Extrovert: Carmelo, Tyson Chandler, Zach Randolph

I think a lot of the greats were introverts. Kobe, MJ, Bird, Russell, etc. On the other hand you have some greats that were extroverts like Wilt, Magic, LeBron, Wade, Shaq, Rodman, etc. There are also some players that I don't really know as much about personality wise like Dirk, KD, Paul, Melo, Amare, Bosh. Bosh, Paul, Melo all stike me as extroverts, where as the other three strike me as introverts.

Is this seriously a topic? Who cares, none of you know these guys personally.

Kobe is definitely an introvert, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. Some people think it's an insult to call him that, but it's really not. It's just a style of personality. Some of the most talented people on the planet are introverted. Brad Pitt rarely does interviews, Al Pacino the same; he has said on numerous times he's very shy.

I was just thinking today about a report in like 1998 talking about sports and what positions tended to be introverted and extroverted. I remember them saying that for basketball the best are introverted, and remember them showing Stockton. And I remember that quarterbacks tended to be extroverted. It's something that crosses my mind when I watch football.

Some one mentioned Wilt as being extroverted, I wasn't alive then, but I've always got the vibe that he was introverted. Being that tall, black in those days, keeping to himself. Today I was also thinking that Ewing was introverted

Well, that's because Kobe probably thinks LeBron is an idiot that's why he doesn't talk to him. That does NOT make him an introvert!

According to a book about introverts, Michael Jordan is an introvert!

http://books.google.com/books?id=o9yEqgTWR_AC&pg=PA39&lpg=PA39&dq=basketball+players+introvert&source=bl&ots=4J6b36tn3x&sig=9_1_q6ln9W_-rsUlgiX1fjWcJAA&hl=en&sa=X&ei=ihQWT5bwItCmsALZ07jMAw&ved=0CDIQ6AEwAg#v=onepage&q=basketball%20players%20introvert&f=false

Adam Morrison is a great example.

most people in society think of introverted synonymous to socially awkward and extrovert as class clown.

Not always the case. introverted means having rich inner life and being less dependent on the company of others. Many introverts also have self awareness and analytical introspection. They may or not be shy.

For example, Adam Morrison is definitely socially awkward. whether he is introverted or extro... no way to know for sure...

Chris Bosh is introverted for sure as he enjoys reading.

Brandon Jennings and cutino mobley are definitely extroverted.

John Stockton is a fish out of water so to speak. he is a white American hanging around a work environment with mostly Blacks who hold a grudge against Stockton's kind. Stock is most likely uneasy around them off the court.
