Remember people said he was a bust, remember people said Derozen was a better player (lmao at that shit), ect. Now look at that nygga, that boy is easily a top 5 sg in the league, and he is coming off the bench. I believe that he can score with anybody, he is very good playmaker for others, he is a smart defender, and he can shoot the blood out that bytch. Dude is too cold, and I think he will earn a chance to be a #1 option sooner or later in his career. What yall boys think about his max potential.

He's 3rd option over 2 top 10 player on his team ya moron, yet he damn close to 20 PPG. What a small brain that u have there.

a lot of the time when harden's in the game, it's against the 2nd unit...he's good, but i doubt 25ppg. i say tops 20ppg on his own, against starters

you know who that reminds me of
jamal crawford
jason terry
leandro barbosa
ben gordon
none of these players has ever averaged 25ppg he just isn't good enough
otherwise he'd be starting instead of being a scoring punch of the bench

he shud request a trade to the bobcats so that he can drop 25 a game

I think if given the minutes on a different squad where he's a higher option... most definitely could average in the 20-25 range with ease. Great scorer, defender all around very good promising young player. Look forward to watching his progression he gets better every year.

Apparently a lot of you guys haven't watched Harden too much. He's still a super young player. But he could easily average 25 a game already if he had the touches but that's not how the thunder play. He's also an excellent 3 pt shooter and the best playmaker for them. Also a good rebounder for his size. His defense needs some work but he's already improved tremoundosly since his rookie year.

The reason he isn't starting isn't because he isn't good enough, it's because of matchups. With Westbrook and Durant in the starting line up OKC does not need any more more offense, they have plenty. They need a great wing defender and have that in Thabo which is why he starts. Then when Durant and Westbrook sub out Harden comes in and keeps the offense rolling.

Starting also doesn't mean anything at all, the only thing that matters is total minutes and where those minutes come. Harden is a very very good player and Scott Brooks keeps him on the bench simply because of match ups. If Brooks wanted to start his best players, Durant would be starting.

Love this guy, Manu reincarnated, not as creative but can't only go left+better shooter

Harden is great, but being on OKC, he doesn't need to score 25 PPG. Harden could do that probably, but he's better in the role that he's in. While he can be a go to guy, he's not a traditional #1 option. He's an awesome 2nd or 3rd option.

Harden's a really good young player and has grown into his role in OKC.

Thanks for bringing some intelligence to the discussion and lowering the ppg to 20-25. I love how people throw out "he could score 25 ppg". In the last 3 full seasons, fewer than 10 players have averaged that many points. As much as Harden has shown, he hasn't shown that he's in that category, unless stuck as the first option on an awful team ala Granger (08-09) or Monta Ellis (09-10).

Also shows just how limited most players are when people get so excited that a lefthander can go to his left.

He can score 25 if he wants to but he doesnt force it, he knows his job, and his team is winning. Best bench player in the NBA.

I love him but he's not top 5 yet. Wade, Kobe, Monta, Gordon, Manu, and arguably Joe Johnson are better than him right now.

He will definitely be top 3 in a few years as the other SGs age. His game is so under control.

Yep, Harden is not the black Ginobili. Nor is he the Bearded One. Nor is he Tygra. Now he's the ugly bearded one who looks like Mr. T.
