Clippers players respond to Lakers trash talk

It’s not a rivalry, players say. There’s no extra intensity, no extra physicality and no bad blood.

“They’re saying there isn’t?” Vinny Del Negro asked.
The Clippers (9-5) are aware of the verbal salvos fired their way from the Lakers, with the latest coming from Matt Barnes who said Blake Griffin’s flopping was a part of his game, just like the dunking.

For the record, Griffin was second in the NBA last season with 214 dunks.
When he was told that Barnes talked about Griffin’s flopping, he responded

“Still? From that preseason game? I don’t really have much to say to him or about that,” Griffin said. “If he’s mad that I tried to take a charge, then so be it. I’m not going to get into trash talking or going back and forth.

“… I’ve heard a lot of talk like that from them through other people. That stuff happens. We’ll let them do all that. I’m not worried about Matt Barnes and what he thinks about me flopping or not.”

I learned the hard way- I said it in a thread that was deleted, I've learned it firsthand. One of my first girlfriends I've had.. I was so excited, I would mention her in every conversation I could. "My cat did this today..." "OMG! My girlfriend has a cat too!!" I thought if I would mention her again and again, maybe everyone around me would learn to accept her and like her faster. It's a very common misconception.. But in the end, it just annoys everyone.

I got great advice, my uncle told me that if she's really that good, let everyone else notice for themselves. I won't mention how it ended.. haha.. but the moral of the story is that it's great advice and I hope that Clipper fans will live by it as they have been pre-CP3.

I know it's fun to enjoy winning for once but we have to be humble about it. CF86 is a good dude, he's just excited and probably had a lot of people rip on him for the Clippers for a while so he probably just wants to "pay them back". But like I said CF86, sometimes the best thing to say is nothing at all.. meaning, it's best to just let them think about the Clippers instead of pointing things out.
