Registered sex offender, and a list of other issues with the law. Sounded like a troubled individual.

It was pretty ridiculous that someone could think this is a positive.

I cannot imagine dealing with this. No idea how close they were but I doubt he'll even be around for a while.

As a knick fan you know you're in trouble when the most recent positives have been Jeremy Lin and Stat's dead brother.. Sorry I couldn't help but laugh at this a little.. Given the fact that he was also a sex offender I guess I'm not directly going to hell. :lol

Maybe I am, I'm not religious anyways..

[QUOTE]Hazell Stoudemire, 35, rammed his speeding 2007 Cadillac Escalade into the rear of a tractor-trailer on U.S. 27 in Lake Wales, officials said.

He was not wearing a seatbelt and was killed instantly.

Amar'e Stoudemire, who grew up in Lake Wales, was heading to Florida and will miss Monday

This is a reminder of so many things when I think about the things I'm going through personally. Very sad news to hear, these guys are athletes and entertainers but they are human like the rest of us....may this bring his family closer together and with his brother's debt paid may he remain in God's memory and they receive all the necessary comfort from this tragedy.

That is so horrible. I really feel for Amare when I heard. It is just so random that this would happen that it almost seems destined if that makes any sense.

It is just really sad though. I can't imagine actually having my brother die.

Clearly, I wish Amar'e and the rest of his family strength in these tough times.

According to my negs, lots of sensitive people here. Make fun of this, Len Bias or Josh Hamilton's drinking problem and all of sudden people get in an uproar. Cmon guys, the internet isn't real!

statutory rape means he had sex with a minor. usually these incidents are nonviolent and the girls "consent," but legally you're not allowed to consent at that age, so it's technically rape.

He must have been moving pretty quickly to be killed instantly in an Escalade. Unless the transport truck was moving in the opposite direction. Seriously guys, he was probably either speeding and/or intoxicated. People driving like that kill innocent people every day, thankfully he didn't.

You don't need to drive that fast to die in a car accident if you're not wearing a seatbelt. Smashing your head against the steering or windshield does wonders when it comes to dying.
My condolences to the family.

I think that's the problem. The internet has no humanistic effect which is a loss in itself.

Speeding, wearing no seatbelt, acting like an entitled goon and crashing himself to death.

After being convicted of statutory rape multiple times and accused of battery and rape multiple times.

Am I supposed to feel bad about this?

Not for the person but for his family....Not sure how close Amare was to him but still got to hurt.
