It's got more holes than swiss cheese but it is by no means the most overrated film of all time.

Gladiator has to be up there for me. ****ing film sucks!

Just watched the movie... and while I can understand primetime's argument...
I still thought the movie was decent. (7.5/10).... (On IMDB it's an 8.0)

I guess my biggest complaint is that the movie started off great
and it progressively got worse... ending was kinda lame.

Overrated... yea, I agree... but I don't think it's terribly overrated.
(However I'm reading several comments on IMDB and Youtube
praising this film as the Greatest Movie Ever!!!)

I didn't have a problem with the Character Development (or lack of it)

I didn't have a problem with Ryan Gosling's dialogue (or lack of it)

I just thought the movie was very average... nothing more, nothing less.
Maybe the villains/bad guys needed some work... I don't know...
I just fail to see why anybody would label this as a masterpiece.

Entertaining... Yes.

Great... No.

I think the sequel has potential to be a lot better.

[QUOTE]James Sallis, author of the original Drive novel, has written a sequel titled Driven, which is scheduled to be published in April 2012.[93] Director Nicolas Winding Refn has expressed interest in filming a sequel, saying: "The character is born, he's out there, he transforms himself completely into what he's meant to be, he was always meant to be this

I didn't think the movie was awful or anything and the thread title was supposed to be obvious exageration...but yeah way over hyped imo
