View Full Version : Dear Raymond Felton,

Myth

F*ck you. Seriously, why are you on my favorite basketball team? You do not deserve to shoot more than LaMarcus Aldridge..... ever. Also you call yourself a point guard? You barely have over a 2/1 assist to turnover ratio, yet that seemingly is worse when a game is actually on the line (don't act like I didn't notice you stat padding in a near 50 point blowout against the Charlotte Bobcats). I can't believe we traded Andre Miller for you. Your only improvement over Andre was that you were supposedly a better three point shooter. By the way, thanks for your amazing 19.5% three point shooting off 3.5 attempts per game. And just in case you didn't know, that was sarcasm. I just wanted you to know that just in case your off court IQ is as low as your on court IQ. I'd honestly much rather have Andre Miller 5 years from now when he is in his 40s because he actually plays like he understands basketball.

Sincerely,
Myth

P.S. Go on a diet you fat f*ck.

Hey, I like this guy's face.

And he was great in his last year at Charlotte and he was greeeat for the Knicks. But his pace and his fat don't fit. Nash would be better suited to impose the running game, if that's what Portland want to do. If not, I honestly think Jameer Nelson would be great for this team. I keep thinking of Damon Stoudemire. Felton, if not a fat boy, would be great in Orlando too.

Funny story. Was at Walmart the other day and saw a copy of NCAA Basketball 2006 for sale in a bargain bin with Raymond Felton on the cover.

Anywho, he shoots too much.

Gomes wouldn't play either (which is why we waived him already), so we might as well just waive Felton too. I'm cool with lesser name PGs for Felton, but Gomes would just be benched behind Batum/Wallace.

Yeah, I said after the trade that Felton wouldn't work here. Everybody flamed me saying that Nate wants to quicken the pace & wouldn't listen to the fact that Nate says that EVERY offseason for the past three years & it doesn't happen. They need a half court guy. D-Will would be awesome in Portland. Brandon Roy was so important because he could run the half court sets AND create for himself...something none of our guards can effectively do on a consistant basis this season.

But Gomes is the superior water boy to Felton. I don't know, I think Portland makes out like bandits in that trade.

They are good, especially Aldridge, but we aren't trading Lin.

He's such an underachiever, he's only had 2 good years really.

yeah, I didn't think he was right for Portland. Too stupid, too wobbly a dribbler, too wobbly a passer, not really a strong shooter, chucks. he's not a half court basketball player. he was pretty good on the knicks, but now we're seeing what someone who's really good at running pick and rolls look like under d'antoni, and he's a lot better than raymond felton was. at least his contract is done after this season.

It does seem like he isn't motivated at all at this point. I guess switching teams 4 times in essentially a season can do that to you, but I don't get it in this case. Portland might not be the premier NBA location, but it does seem like one of the coolest and most fun teams to be a part of.

And it's a contract year for him. Why not work your ass off this season and start slacking after you signed a long term deal?

Whatevs. Now I just hope the Bobcats can snag him back on the cheap next season.

I would talent wise, but not with Fisher having a player option for another year. I'd rather just waive Felton and wait for his contract to be off the books this summer.

Honestly, I would like to get something for Felton due to his name still having some appeal (2nd round pick?), but I would totally waive him for nothing after the trade deadline. Blazers today played much better with Crawford at the point than Felton, so Felton easily fits the qualifications to be a case of addition by subtraction.

Jason Quick of The Oregonian reports from Dallas that Portland Trail Blazers coach Nate McMillan acknowledged that he will consider moving reserve guard Jamal Crawford into the starting lineup in place of starting point guard Raymond Felton.

This is the best news since a minor injury made Felton have to sit out a game.

Well he used to be good.

It's the system.

He was traded with the idea of him playing next to Brandon Roy. He was supposed to be used in a Steve Blake role. Essentially, he was going to be a faster, stronger, and more consistent Steve Blake.

However, he can't coexist with Crawford because they both have the same mentality of either shoot or pass. By passing, I don't mean facilitating the ball movement in an offense. Instead, it's just a simple pass to an open guy which hurts the team's ball movement.

Crawford is more shoot than he is pass and Felton is more pass than he is shoot. This cancels both players strengths in a very negative way. They're too alike to play together.
