At this point I don't even care, 2 rings in 4 years.
I'm happy with that. Bring on AI or Arenas.

I don't understand what Mitch is thinking if he rolls into the playoffs with Fisher starting. Enough with the respect thing, Fisher doesn't belong in the league anymore.
Any free agent point guard you show me would be a better fit than Fisher in the starting lineup. The Lakers better get someone to fill that PG void before the playoffs or they'll be gone in the 1st round.

PG - Iverson 27 fg attempts
SG - Arenas 27 fg attempts
SF - Kobe 27 fg attempts
rest of the team = 5 fg attempts

If Iverson wants a ring he'll just do what Kobe says. After all, Kobe obviously knows what it takes to win championships.

NEWSFLASH: AI is washed up.
Without elite-level quickness, he has nothing. He's done. If the Lakers pursue this, the front office is either desperate, stupid, or both.

A few years ago, Kobe was in ATL hanging out with Iverson. Kobe had mentioned "I would love to have Iverson (on the lakers). People think we'd have chemistry problems, but I don't think so"...Something along the lines of that.
Kobe is always loyal to guys who he has a great respect for. Why else is Fisher still Kobe's backcourt buddy? Even if they do stink it up.
I wouldn't want AI on the team though. I would prefer Gilbert if we had to choose between the two.

did you start watching the NBA yesterday ?
we were in a much worse position like 5 years back. We played guys like Smush Parker and Aaron McKie for 20+ min a game.

I WISH SO BADLY THAT THIS WOULD HAPPEN. I just want Iverson to come back one last time, have a decent season and then accept for himself that his career is over. I hate seeing the man so down on himself. He's a great player.

Iverson was turned down by the Guaynabo Mets (Puerto Rican team) so if the Lakers go ahead & sign him i'll wave the white flag on the season.

Trolololololol.
But seriously...AI is not the answer. Gilbert is the much better, while still not that good, option of the two.
I'd rather Sessions over either.

He hosts a ****ing radio show. Ofcourse he's going to make absurd predictions in order to get publicity. Much like this one here and the Dwight Howard thing, the Chris Paul thing, the Gilbert Arenas thing, the Chris Bosh thing and all the other ****ing things he has predicted for the Lakers and other teams.

All the Lakers really need is a PG who can at least resemble some sort of defense. DFish is way too old to slow down anybody. Iverson is in his 30's as well, so he's now longer that quick guy who used to give opposing defenses headaches. That being said, I'm not sure if this story is credible or not, since last we heard from Iverson last year, was that he was willing to play in the NBA. But it seemed like he still wanted starter minutes. Since we all know he proudly said at one point that he's not going to ride anybody's bench to a title. Not sure if he has a choice right now. As long as he can play decent enough to take ballhandling duties off Kobe, and provide some kind of consistent offense, I have no problem with it.
