If you were the person in charge of choosing the image/pose of what Kobe Bryants statue would look like, what would you choose?
Getting this one out the way

While it may be a good pose, it would be difficult to build a statue like these in action with knees bent. IMO, it would be easier to capture Kobe's shooting pose because it would be too hard to build a dunk/lay-up one where the legs aren't straight (maybe tomahawk dunk or steve nash one).

And maybe ''Pointing to sky after 81''?

I was going to say the dunk on D12, but looks like OP already posted it. The statue builders could even include D12 into it. :oldlol:
If not that then maybe KB8 pointing up to the sky after the 81 point game. :confusedshrug:
A better question would be:
Does his jersey have #8 or #24 on it?

The one where he has finger up in the air after scoring 81, that one would be the most meaningful.
:lol
All jokes aside.... i think (IF) he gets a statue he should have it portray him/his game the best.... like Magic had his finger pointing yelling out plays, the statue says a thousand words, explains Magic perfectly.... Kobe needs something like that.... something involving scoring... perhaps simply him taking a jumpshot with a hand near his face would do... :D

Jordan doesn't own normal natural human poses of celebration any more than he owns speaking English.

So its normal for someone to imitate nearly all of one person's poses, mind you a player he models his game off, as just coincidence or something normal? Care to tell me another player who imitates Jordan as much as kobe does on gestures/post game interviews/mannerisms?
That's my point. Has nothing to do with NBA players as a whole imitating some of past players traits, but near all of them? that's creepy. Your speaking English correlation has nothing to do with the point I made. :confusedshrug:
Why do I feel the need to point this out :lol

It's not an imitation any more than speaking English is an imitation. Jordan did not invent and put his own stamp on a celebration as simple as closing your fist or running after winning a championship. Nor holding the front of his jersey or biting it.
Something like Pietrus a while ago doing the shrug after multiple 3s is a case of an imitation, which isn't a big deal but shrugging after a few 3s in a row is something one can say is Jordans. biting your shirt is not.

People make a much bigger deal of this than it is. So what if he mimics his style? It's both effective and fun to watch. You have to realize too that when you watch someone enough or idolize them, you adopt their mannerisms subconsciously. It's not like he's going out there thinking "this is how Jordan would move his mouth"
You don't think LeBron is mimicking Kobe/Tmac when he takes those heat check fade away 3s? He's already admitted to idolizing him, and has clearly tried to model some parts of his game after him. It's a natural part of playing basketball while growing up watching certain guys.
