A source tells KING 5 News a press conference is scheduled at Seattle City Hall Thursday to announce a deal on a new sports arena complex.

Chris Hansen, a former Seattleite, and current San Francisco hedge fund manager who has approached Seattle about his interest, is reportedly in Seattle.

Hansen recently purchased property south of Safeco Field on Occidental Avenue South, south of Massachusetts Street.

Earlier in the week reports were that this was in the works and that kings could be moved to Seattle as soon as next season (playing in the old arena while the new ones built). If a team does have to move (hornets/kings) i'd love seattle back in the league.

If the Hornets can't find a buyer, then I say New Orleans. NBA shouldn't be owning a team forever if no owner can't be found to keep it in the area, sorry NO fans.

From what i herd last week it seems if the kings lose their bid their moving to seattle.

That's a terrible idea if you ask me, damn shame because the Kings have a nice fan base. Ticket sales for the Kings are right on pace with the Hornets, yet the Kings have been horrible since 2005 and fans have been used to losing now, and the Hornets have had Chris Paul for years and still wouldn't show up after the rebuilding of the arena.

Plus I think there's still a decent chance that the Kings stay in Sacramento.

Move/Merge both Bucks and Kings, problem solved.

Brandon Jennings/Fredette/Thomas
Tyreke Evans/Garcia/Delfino
Steph Jackson/Dunleavy/Salmons/Outlaw
DeMarcus Cousins/Hickson/Gooden
Andrew Bogut/Hayes

Good playoff team with amazing depth for the new Super Sonics. Tyreke would look awesome in a Sonics Jersey and that back court would be crazy good.

Can they use the "Supersonics" name? Isn't that brand name the property of the OKC Thunder owners?

No.

No.

Not sure if you're saying no to the first or second question. So I'll clarify:

Yes, they can use the Supersonics name. No, the OKC owner left everything behind in Seattle based on certain circumstances.

Between the Kings and the Hornets, which team have more chance to move to Seattle (If they get a new team)

Technically the Hornets. No NBA owners. Kings have owners and based on what Scott Howard Cooper or whatever his name is, there's a high chance of the Kings staying in Sacramento.

That's exactly why their moving. No fans.

I would rather have the Hornets players... Gordon and some good picks in a deep draft to build around. Kings team is full of headcases who are young and talented so you're pretty much stuck with that group.

I am also a firm believer that the NBA fixes the draft lottery winners and fully expect the Sonics to have the first pick in the NBA draft. Davis or Drummond welcome to Seattle.

Depends how unreasonable Stern is. I assume all the promises to keep the team in the city of New Orleans are just to keep the last five season ticketholders around. It is happening. The new SuperSonics owner probably just wants the Kings option as leverage to lower the price for the Hornets.

This. Kings have a bunch of completely selfish players. In fact, before Lin sat down, he outassisted the WHOLE team. I like Demarcus Cousins, but the entire roster is terrible and they love to play iso ball. It's no surprise they are the worst shooting team.
