2K12 will do a special update to make Jeremy Lin better in the game. Right now he's only a 69. THey say to expect him to be 75-79. Personally, on the 100 scale i think he should be 175 and shoot fire from his hair as he runs but that's just me.

Probably. I'm not exactly making a career of it. But he's rated too low compared to other players how he's playing, and one of the selling points of the game was they are updating rosters "live" to make it accurate.

69 IS ok for Lin, you have to look at the stats individually, the overall is just a misreprensative average.

make the game balanced then think about pleasing people who don't play your game.

was playing with linsanity in CAL mode, down by 1, drove the paint going left on chalmers, i was out of control and figured i was screwed cause wasn't going into a layup animation, lin ends up magically doing a turnaround spin jumpshot (all i did was move RS to left to try to do a layup *spinning jumpshot requires 180 degree rotation of RS*) and he nails a gamewinner over a helping chris bosh *see avatar*

A 22pt bump is ridiculous there simply is no way around that. 7gms if 7 was even taken into account justifies that? No. 69 was ideal. And by season end if he proves it needs to be raised then so be it. Lowering it then raising and lowering just doesn't happen.

First of all, who gives a fck about overall ratings? If so, why?

Second, the fun comes from the realism, and his ratings are just about right as they are. If overrating players breeds fun, then everyone would be in the 90-99 range in all categories.

Edit: I havent watched Ryan Anderson enough to comment on his individual ratings I'm looking at. He rates low in shot close, extremely low in layup, low in passing, low in speed. Etc etc

So that stuff factors in overall rating. You could still beast with Ryan Anderson if you know his jumper. Really all that matters when it comes to face up 4s. I trhink Iggy rated over Dirk, but thats because Iggy has better ratings across the board vs Dirk who dominates just the shooting categories.

Yeah, historically awareness ratings have been used in 2K to boost player's overall without affecting their abilities, so I'm wondering if that was the move. I didn't alter his defensive awareness and abilities too much. A little bit, but not too much.
