Lets look at durant's stats.
Durant: 27.7 ppg, 52% FG, 8 rbs, 3 asts 1.3 stls 1.3 blocks while taking 147 threes.
Lebron: 27.6 ppg, 55% FG, 8 rbs, 7 asts 1.7 stls 0.7 block while taking 63 thress.
1) Durant is the better and more versitile scorer.
2) They get the same amount of rebounds at game.
3) About FG%: If you cut out both players three-point attempt, they would be shooting the same percentage.
4) About FG%: While Lebron and Wade are out there running a "track meat" as wade put it and cherry picking to the point its illegal. Durant isn't.
5) Half-Court Offense: I believe the last time I checked Lebron was shoooting in the 40s in half court offense while durant was still shooting in the 50s.
6) Assists: Though Durant's assist numbers are low, they don't tell the true story. Lebron handles the ball alot and is ball dominant while Durant plays off the ball alot and isn't ball dominant. If he handled the ball as much as Lebron does he would likewise have the same amount of assists.
7) We see multiple times when Lebron pounds the ball for 20 seconds and passes in order to get an assist.
8) Durant is clutch and has many memorable clutch performances this season alone including a game winner.
9) Durants stats are actually better than Lebron in his own team with a shot jacking westbrook.
10) They have the same record but the difference is Lebron is doing it on the most stacked team in NBA history (three players in their absolute prime) while Durant isn't.
11) Durant is by far the better defender per synergy stats.
You can't tell me Durant isn't the best. There is no one better, lebron is the closest though. Got to give him credit.

The facts doesn't support it... what's he better at? Assists? He handles the ball 90% of the time and is extremely ball dominant.
Tell me what Lebron is better at. List them.

Kobe got sweeped by the Mavs, and it's not like he played brilliantly in that series, why are you morons so obsessed with LBJ? Clearly the only reason you made this thread is to discredit Lebron, because you know the consensus right now is that lebron is the best player in the game.

Unfortunately I have facts and statistic to back up each and every one of those eleven statements and you don't have any to refute them.
Won't that mean the your statements speaks more about you than about me?
Its not close. Lebron average 5 assists more which translates to at least 10 points, is shooting better while sharing the floor with Wade and Bosh and is a much better defender. The only edge Durant has right now is scoring with 0.1 points more.

Refute each and every one of these with stats. Try it.
1) Durant is the better and more versitile scorer.
Show me stats that Lebron is a better and more versatile scorer than Durant.
2) They get the same amount of rebounds at game.
Well I'm sure u wont refute this one.
3) About FG%: If you cut out both players three-point attempt, they would be shooting the same percentage.
Again post their FG% without three-point.
4) About FG%: While Lebron and Wade are out there running a "track meat" as wade put it and cherry picking to the point its illegal. Durant isn't.
Post their Fastbreak points and total dunks.
5) Half-Court Offense: I believe the last time I checked Lebron was shoooting in the 40s in half court offense while durant was still shooting in the 50s.
Post their half court offense stats.
6) Assists: Though Durant's assist numbers are low, they don't tell the true story. Lebron handles the ball alot and is ball dominant while Durant plays off the ball alot and isn't ball dominant. If he handled the ball as much as Lebron does he would likewise have the same amount of assists.
Post stats that refute this.
7) We see multiple times when Lebron pounds the ball for 20 seconds and passes in order to get an assist.
Post evidence that refute this. I will point you to game threads for evidence that supports it though if you want.
8) Durant is clutch and has many memorable clutch performances this season alone including a game winner.
Again post (THIS SEASON) stats that shows otherwise.
9) Durants stats are actually better than Lebron in his own team with a shot jacking westbrook.
Post stats that refute this.
10) They have the same record but the difference is Lebron is doing it on the most stacked team in NBA history (three players in their absolute prime) while Durant isn't.
This one is pretty obvious but if you want to challenge it then post some evidence against it. prove that Wade, Lebron and Bosh ain't in their absolute prime. prove it.
11) Durant is by far the better defender per synergy stats.
I posted the synergy stats in pg 1
I will give you time to post your stats, your evidences. If not I will post those stats for you.

Durant is a great player but no one is better then The King. He is a better passer, defender and is the most all round player in the league.
About his clutchness wasn't he the same guy who lead the league when playing with Cavs in 4qt points? But he didn't step up against Mavs and now he is the most unclutch player in the league. He will get another opportunity this year.
And one more thing for a guy and now qouting you "Durant plays off the ball alot and isn't ball dominant" 3,7 TO per game is alot of f*cking TO.

No one can refute the eleven points, because they are true and tell the complete story. While stats by themselves are deceptive if not taken into context.

The same can be said for Lebron. Lebron has Wade in his team and at times Wade dominates the ball and takes more shots than him. Without Wade in the lineup, did you see how dominating Lebron was in the beginning of the season?

True Shooting percentage

Lebron is right now by far the best postup player in the league. If he cuts down his turnovers he will probably become the most efficient post player of alltime.
Lebron always defends the best player on the court in 4th quarters while dishing out and scoring.
While he was by himself he posted the best crunch time scoring of alltime even his airness didnt come close to posting 66ppg while averaging 3.2bpg 3.2 spg
Before joining miami he was the best player during 4th quarters for 4 straight years only chris paul's hornets performed better than him.
Lebron and KD turnover numbers are identical, which is suprising because he never holds the ball. His turnover rate is by far the highest among top 10 players in scoring and he is only averaring 3.3apg.
Defense Opponents
Lebron is holding opponents the league 2nd best 9.0
KD is at 10.9 opponent production
While lebron is on the court,Miami is outscoring is opponents by +9.8 points per game.He is leading the league in net production by a huge margin at 23.4
KD is at 28th place.OKC is outscoring his opponents by only 4.8points per game. His net production on the court is 15.4.
Again dont forget Lebron is at 36.6mpg KD is at 37.9mpg
Lebron's this season production is unheard of in todays pace. This is by far the best season in modern era including His Airness
Lebron is front runner MVP while also one of the strongest candidates for DPOY award.
His impact is so serious that miami is actually getting outscored when he is on bench. This is how vital he is to this team.
BTW dont forget lebron is by far the best non-pg distributor in the game. His unique ability enables him to play 5 positons and dominate 4 of them effectively.
His versatility is so severe that he can go against any player in the league and overwhelm him including centers.
He has the body of Karl Malone and the speed of pg.He is faster than almost all the guards today. He is heavier than half the centers in the league at 270lbs while can jump higher and can guard anybody on the floor.
So there you go you cant go wrong with this analysis.

A player without the heart to win it all is a player with improvements to make.
You can see KD with the Killer Instinct when he goes clutch, Lebron, well, you always doubt if he's going to show up or not. That says it all.
Stats don't win rings, great 4th quarter performances do. What does being the best player in the world mean if Wade is more dependable than Lebron to win rings....

KD has the heart, Lebron does not. Stats don't win rings, great 4th quarter performances do.

It would be easier to argue that Durant isnt currently top 4 than to argue that anyone is better than Lebron. I dont know that id make the argument that Durant isnt top 4. But it would be an easier case to make than that of anyone being better than Lebron.
Durant could win the title this year and not be better than Lebron.
He just isnt there yet. Being younger hes no doubt going to surpass him. But that time has not come. And when its opinion held by probably 80-90% of people I dont think the minority is the side that should be claiming they are indisputably right.
You dont have thunder, Laker, Bulls, and Suns fans saying one thing due to favoritism. If anything Durant should get the "People just like him" bump having never done anything that generated much hate.
Durant could drop 60 on the Celtics tonight and 50 on the Lakers tomorrow. Lebron is not going to lose his position at the top to any large number of people.
Saying the "facts" say otherwise isnt changing anything. Just pissing in the wind.
People generally decide who the best player in the league is and never change it until a brief moment after the playoffs when they pretend whoever won actually got better than the 100 games of the season/playoff showed.
Much as people might not like it...in all likely hood Lebron is probably going to be remembered as the best player of all the recent years regardless of what emotion makes a few people say from time to time.
God help some of you should he actually win a ring and get that champion bump. Forget durant. There will be plenty of people asking if hes better than Jordan.
They shouldnt. But its gonna happen.
I said it of Kobe on here 10 years ago. Some people you can see it all setting up a mile away. And the Heat arent a team you have to look hard at to see why it could go down that way.
Lebron career seems to be going that shaq route more than Jordan. I dont see him winning 6 or anything like that. But I could see him going 7-8 years of losing then suddenly it all comes together and he has a legacy defining 2-3 year run that on its own has people throwing him in the top 10 all time.
And even if he doesnt hes so clearly the best player history wont be able to look the other way. People were hating in 09 and 10...but in retrospect it sees most know he was the best player in the NBA then too.
Its hard to fail hard enough to overshadow ability on his level. He would have to like...go out in the second round putting up 16/6/2 on 38% shooting for any large number of people to knock him off his spot. And even if he did hed probably come out and put up 32/9/7 for a month or two next season shoot 61% and people would be right back to the truth:
On a game to game basis nobody in the NBA is as good as Lebron and while some have the potential to be...they arent doing it at the moment.

You can call Lebron the best player in the game all you want everyday of the week with 10-page stat sheets to back it up. Will I take a Lebron or a Wade to win a final?
No question I'll take a Wade. Best player all around my ***, guy has mental breakdowns which is just as good of a stat to compare players. The ability to become great and win it all beats stats any-day of the week for me. Look at what Dirk, Chandler and Terry did to the Big "three".
Pooped all over "the best player in the game".

That's pretty much how these past 8 months have played out; Lebron's Finals made people question whether he's the best player in the game or not, but the way he's played since the start of this season has made him the unanimous best.

Stats don't mean a thing to me after what I saw in the Finals last year so engaging fanboys in a stat argument doesn't get me excited sorry. Is hard to make the case for Lebron when he is a disappearing act in 4th quarters - when it counts. Hell of player but too much hype for what you all make it to be. I am not a KD fanboy. I do think he's a great player and pure scorer - always unpredictable and at times explosive; for better or worse. You know what to expect from Lebron - you know his game. Both players have weaknesses. I can't take any of the two yet to win a Final. We'll have to see if OKC makes it in the West.

The league doesn't have a clear-cut best player. Depending on the day, it could be anyone between Durant, Wade, Rose and Kobe. More so the first 3 players though.

Durant: 27.7 ppg, 52% FG, 8 rbs, 3 asts 1.3 stls 1.3 blocks while taking 147 threes.
Lebron: 27.6 ppg, 55% FG, 8 rbs, 7 asts 1.7 stls 0.7 block while taking 63 thress.

I watch more Heat games than I would care to admit. I understand the game at a high level. I evaluate talent quite well. LeBron is BY FAR the best player in the league. As the game shrinks (halfcourt playoff basketball) his advantages shrink as well. However, in a free flowing game he is tremendous and shoulders above everyone else in the league.
LeBron James isn't as good as Rose? You expect people to let that go? That wouldn't have anything to do with you being from Ill would it? I don't think YOU are watching Bulls games, understand the game or are capable of evaluating on court value beyond stats.
Remember Bladie... you brought these facts upon yourself... these threads do nothing but make people understand even more why Lebron is so good...
Q:
How is Durant not the best SF in the game?
A:
Because the most talented-productive-dominant perimeter player since only Jordan stands in his way with a big gap, is having the most productive-efficient season in NBA history....... http://i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc500/pauk666/Untitled-2-6.png and has the best record in the NBA, is the runaway MVP etc.........
Because compared to Lebron... Durant is nothing but a one dimensional (scorer) sceletor.......... the only thing Durant does any significantly better than Lebron is shoot freethrows.........
Lebron has better....
*Scoring ability
*Court vision
*Passing ability
*Ballhandling
*Rebounding
*Athleticism
*IQ, decision making & Leadership
*Offense & Offensive versatility, can play all roles and all 5 positions efficiently...
*Defense & Defensive versatility, extremly vocal leader who orchestrates team defense, is great perimeter and interior defender in every way who can guard all 5 positions efficiently..... he can guard anybody from Derrick Rose to Dwight Howard...
*Lebron is a much better playoff performer aswell...
With other words........ get back to me when Durant is better... an example:
*Averages 30-10-10-3-2 on 60% FG....
*Can play & dominate all 5 positions...
*Can defend & shut down all 5 positions...
*And does so even better in playoffs and gets to ECF/Finals or preferably wins a championship....
Until then.......
But one thing is sure tho at this moment........... DURANT > KOBE

By your logic, he should've defended Dwight in the 09 playoffs when he was killing them.
Another thing.... this statline/season you are bringing up just so happens to be the best season in NBA history.... here is what type of Lebron season/statline you are comparing to Durant:

No... he should've crosscourt roadrunner defended the entirely open 3PT shooters back and forth all a cross the floor... when THEY (and not Dwight) was killing them...

Unfortunately I have facts and statistic to back up each and every one of those eleven statements and you don't have any to refute them.
Won't that mean the your statements speaks more about you than about me?
You have "facts" to prove he would have more assists if he handled the ball more?
Stop calling everything you say a "fact"...it completely discredits when you present an actual fact.

Look at the assists column. They tell the whole story. Lebron is a better team player.
Game over.
