...do you think he would be viewed differently? Imagine he put on a show like Vince did in 2000... do you think it would have changed peoples perception of him?

No, he's b!tch and punk out.

He's scared to lose, scraed to try and he has no confidence in him unlike legends.

Look at him join up two superstars?....:facepalm

he's no killer instinct mfer.

Move on and end thread.

Yeah really scared of getting booed. Watch Lebrons performance when he came back to Cleveland last season.

Vince Carter put on the show of all shows and millions still view him to be all sorts of negative things. The only difference is they have to start their sentences with, "Yeah, so he put on a great dunk show, but I still hate him badly."

So in essence, I don't think it would have changed much.

im pretty sure when they are playing they forget about all that stuff, seeing as they playing at a very high level and such. But please explain why he had to take a dump when they were introducing the players that time?

he's not made for all eyes being on him. lacks killer instinct that the legends have, which gundress already pointed out. plus he has no creativity :lol

I'd pretty much agree, but I do think it would have helped a little.. though not something that's gonna overcome "the Decision". He would be praised at this time of year and probably would have had a little more rope before he made his mistakes. Most of Vince's detractors come from the way he plays (and sometimes his lack of desire to play), but you'd have less of a case for LeBron. Had Vince not had the dunk contest and the Weiss dunk, we'd view him differently today.

With that said, it would be a good PR move if LeBron chose to "save" the dunk contest next year.
