Andrew Wiggins, 15 yo in this vid. He is hailed as a "gift from the basketball gods" and the "next Lebron James" by sports writers. He seems more of a man amongst boys then Lebron at age 15. His already 6'7 with NBA athleticism. If im not wrong, Lebron was about 6'4 at that age..

Anyone hailed as 'the next', never fulfills their expectations. The media is dooming this kid just by putting that pressure on him. Have we not learned this yet?

This kid seems legit though. Keep in mind his only 15yo, he already has NBA height and altheticism.

6 foot 7 at 15 years old? Did he finish puberty by 9?

I think I had just broken 5 foot 6 when I was fifteen, and I was damn proud. :D

NBADraftnet compared him to Scottie Pippen.

He's too much of a capable scorer to be compared to Scottie Pippen. If you look at the vids, he does have pretty good court vision for a wing and has some good handles and moves ala Lebron.

I was 6'6 (no shoes) when I was 14, not really that uncommon.

Hate to burst the OP's bubble, but if that NBADraft.net profile is right, he's 17 years old. My math may be wrong, but born in 1995 would make him 17, not 15. And if that's true, how in the hell is he a high school sophomore and 17 years old?

If he's 6'7 as a sophmore in highschool he's probably going to end up over 7 feet

Lol you think that Scottie Pippen wasn't scoring 100 point in a game in High School, dunking on everybody and blocking every shot?

And as if he wasn't a "capable scorer". He averaged 20 ppg during the Bulls' prime, and that's while playing alongside the greatest scorer in NBA history. On any other team he'd be 25ppg.

Back to the point, this kid looks more like a taller DWade. Good handles, dribbles past defender with quick first step, finishes hard at the rim.

this is stupid. 1 hes no lebron james in highschool he doesnt have the basketball skills to match. 2. hes physically abnormal which means he will have problems and injuries his whole basketball career.

I think Scottie Pippen played the PG position in HS. He was barely 6'1" when he graduated from high school. Scottie had a late growth spurt in college.

6'1" from 6'7.5".

Just give this kid a chance to showcase his skills in the NBA. He might become a much better player in the NBA.

honestly im not a lebron fan but i dont see whats wrong with his jumpshot, didn't seem to have a problem last night in the 3rd and 4th where he went off, you don't see actual poor jumpshooters like rondo doing that..

Certainly a great athlete, and it's clear why people think he'll be a great player. Comparing him to James specifically I don't know about because that's a highlight reel, not seeing what he does on normal plays where he doesn't have the option to slam, and especially to compare to James we have to see great passing ability and a huge build.

1) No.

2) I didn't see anything other than scoring and blocking shots in both of those videos. How does that remind you of LeBron James?

LeBron James is one of maybe 5 players ever that was an elite scorer that could also make every single player he ever played with look better than they actually were. He actually elevates teams and plays basketball correctly and makes the correct basketball decision the vast majority of the time.

All this kid did in these videos was score. I kept waiting for at least 1 pass... I saw absolutely 0 passes. ZERO.

edit: forgive me. I see 1 pass in the senior clip. lmfao. Looks nothing like James. Looks like an elite athlete... that's all I see right now.

He's the type of guy who should go overseas for his "lost year" and make some cash. He'll be the number 1 pick no matter what.
