Rose has hit some pretty awkward looking buzzard beaters the last couple of games. This MIL one and then the Philly one in the 3rd quarter.

GO make a thread about Jordan Farmar's game winner if you want to argue about platitudes or attitudes my dude.

It will forever baffle me why every guard that is given the last shot, feels absolutely compelled to make sure its a freaking step back fadeaway 20-footer. Every time. The same shot. College and the pros. They go for the glory every time.

Rose rarely takes fadeaways in those situations. He gets in the lane probably 75% of the time.

You haven't seen a lot of Derrick Rose.

Exactly.

I'm pretty sure last season he hit a game winner against the Bucks on a driving left handed layup.

He just said in a post game interview that he was going to go floater but he was sagging so he took the stepback.

I guess it helps being the most athletic guard in the game, being able to create about 6 feet of separation in one step back.

Yeah Burnsby, the scouting now is to just sag and shadow Rose when its 5 seconds or less. So its twice as hard to drive, but if he got the defense of any other point guard gets, he would drive 90% of the time in that situation.

Brandon Jennings will never forget how Rose busted his ass on his home court.

Anyone ever notice how Jennings always tries to go out and outplay Rose like he thinks he's better than him and fails miserably every time?

Remember last season when Rose led the comeback on the Bucks by scoring 8 in the fourth and assisting on the other four points?

Jennings really needs to sit his ass down.

Rose has celebrated before people. Rose just uses these things to motivate himself. Every time he loses a game he says the next time it won't go down that way and its personal now. Just like MJ read newspapers to see if someone made a comment to thrashtalk them and kill them.

If guys foul him and trash talk all game he's always responded. Its not the norm, but he's always showed some emotion. When Chris Paul, started putting the ball between his legs and showing out, I was very curious to see if Rose would get like last night but he didn't. Chris Paul felt the expression on the court, tho, that was for sure.

I think that's an exaggeration. There is no way they would be able to hear the other locker room if they are that far apart, unless they were pumping through speakers and amplifiers.

Okay, I've actually been in the Bulls locker room in the United Center (when they first opened it up and gave the employees a tour of the building) and the visitors locker room is not too far from it. You can definitely hear if there is a commotion coming from the other room.

Other dude just said it was on the other side of the building.

So if they are that close, then they obviously weren't partying that loud. I am sure there was some commotion, but I doubt they popped champagne.

Well I've actually been in there and I can tell though they aren't very close, they are close enough to each other that if there is a commotion, you can hear it in the other room. Especially with all the vents in there. The locker rooms are basically in the basement of the building.

The game floor is below street level and level with the locker rooms.

I've been in every part of The UC and US Cellular and the visitor lockers in US Cellular are farther apart from each than they are in the UC.

Why is everyone knocking Brandon Jennings? Rose is last seasons MVP. And you guys act like Jennings could have done a better job defending. The only way to defend Rose is for the Bucks to deny Rose even getting the ball. Outside of that? You're at his mercy. You guys sound silly trashing Jennings, he played defense, Rose just made a great shot. :confusedshrug:

Because ever since Jennings came into the league, he's acted like he's better than Rose and always tries to show him up.

He's arrogant and cocky and talks trash like he's Jordan or somebody. Rose routinely embarrasses him and it's just sad now. But Jennings still doesn't get it, so Rose has to keep showing him who the better player is.

Plus, it's a Chicago/Milwaukee thing, you wouldn't understand.

Its called rivalry, something this league lacks amongst players. Why you are so against it? Beyond me. Why do you have a problem with Jennings being arrogant and cocky which you could be percieving all wrong? Everyone isnt nor shouldnt be Mr Humble Rose, Mr Nice guy Durant. Yet even they have moments of talkin trash, celebrating and what not.

Show me quotes where til this day Jennings is still talkin trash like MJ and targets Rose.

Yeah he did. It was a go ahead with some time left, plus a close out bucket to put them up four and put the game out of reach.

It's on the court. If you've watch as many Bucks/Bulls games as I have (which you clearly haven't) then you'd know what I'm speaking of.

And rivalry means that you are either as good as or are better than your opponent, and Jennings is neither, yet he thinks he is.

So Rose has to put him in his place, every single time they meet.

Whatever, you're sounding like Derrick Rose mom right now.

And no you dont really need to be as good or better to develop a rivalry. Raja Bell and Kobe had a nice rivalry, which was one sided where it was all about how Raja defended Kobe.

Rose getting the better of Jennings is fine. It wouldnt destroy the idea of them having a rivalry where everytime the two meet they go at it hard and competitively.

I gotta agree with GOBB here. There are tons of rivalries in sports for various reasons and some of them aren't too competitive series-wise. Both teams, as Rasheed Wallace would say, just "play(ed) hard."

Who cares if he's as good as he thinks he is? At least he brings it every time he plays Rose. Its a rivalry and if Rose just finds a need to "put him in his place" every time, then its a rivalry. Its a good thing for the NBA IMO.

Do you seriously think Rose would exaggerate something like the Pacer's celebrating? The guy is low key but still very human. It's hard to tell your angle. If you think Rose is pretentious you're nuts. You didn't see the Bulls/Pacer series? The Pacers complimented Rose's ability to get in the paint... it was an excuse to clobber him. They played as physical as any team in the playoffs. Rose didn't slight them then so you know he heard something from their locker room and I'm pretty sure Indiana meant for them to hear it. Rose, with his leadership hat on decided to let them know he heard it. No biggie.

You think a young guy at 22 that is the most competitive guy at his position shouldn't get emotional??? Rose was singled out more than any player in the playoffs last year and he kept his cool the entire time. What is your angle here?

Rose is just a different breed from most other players today, especially the younger ones. he's not gonna b smiling and shit as he gets eliminated ala a Dwight Howard type or dancing on the sidelines in the regular season like a Lebron. Rose is all business and really the player he reminds me the most of with his mentality is larry bird, they have almost a sadistic edge to their personality.

when Bron wade melo and the superfriends clique came I thought that was the end of real competitiveness in the NBA but rose is very different.

At least we know the future of the league has balls w/ Derrick Rose. None of this forcing a bad pass at the end of the game because you're shook stuff. Rose has what it takes to become a legend. He's not afraid of failure, and he holds himself accountable. It's clear his teammates respect him too. Proud to say he represents my hometown.
