I don't miss him, but I imagine him having the same persona as a coach even though that's obviously not true.

I do miss him. The interplay between himself and JVG was priceless.

As far as his coaching, he debuted well but it seems that things have been being so rosy of late. Hopefully, he and the team can turn things around.

If he comes back does it mean we get less of Mush Mouth Mullin? If so, YES, I miss him.

Meh. Dont care for Harlan's growling style and cliches either, but I'll take him over Albert anytime. Albert's style sucks on so many levels it would take a long post to describe them.

I miss Doug Collins on TNT. I don't care much for Jackson but I don't think he'll be returning anytime soon. He is a decent coach and a far better coach than I thought he would be.

I don't miss him, but I wish he'd get the hell away from the Warriors. They aren't any fun anymore, he wants them to play defense and sh!t. :facepalm

well when you talk about Mark Jackson, you're basically talkin' about a guy who gets the job done.. on the next level, day in and day out. consistently on a consistent basis.

momma there goes that man

Don't miss him, outside of the fact that JVG doesn't have someone to make fun of any more.

It was usually the other way around, if you actually listened to them on the air.

Mark is my man. Played against him several times, AAU at Hunter College/Rutgers. He says funny stuff while playing. When he was with Marv Albert I watched Net games because the commentating was the best around. Mark was at his funniest then. He was relaxed and always had something up his sleeve. NBC for some strange reason told him to be more mainstream and he seemed a little tight. But if he comes back to the booth he will be himself.

how can anybody miss kobe dick rider?

would you prefer him being an LBJ dickrider........yeah you would.....:lol

I tell you these stans....they hate the word "kobe" itself.

Anyway back on topic. Great commentator, had good lines. Doing decent as a coach....great for him.

don't like jackson as an announcer. same with reggie miller. dude sounds terrible, tries way too hard.

greatest ever: doug collins is the goat announcer. he basically is the god of basketball analytics and has great vocal presence. the team of him, isiah thomas and bob costa for nbc in the 1990s is the greatest team, in my opinion.

the goat announcer, the journalist guy who makes ALL the right pauses, exclamations, etc. at the exact right time, and then a former great player who is less vocally rigid than the other two.

i also like hubie brown with dick stockton.

i always thought marv albert was overrated. another great one: mike fratello. jeff van gundy i like but he's TOO loose at times.

i love this basketball forum. i don't have ANY friends that wanna talk about cot damned nba announcers. but thinking these thoughts forever. thank you, ISH.
