View Full Version : Kobe's Impact

Stern

Kobe has been one of the main reasons that Bynum is having his breakout season. Kobe attracts the double and triple teams and is able to set up opportunities for Bynum and Gasol.

Its like you saw that bynum had a big game and got really really really insecure. You might want to do some deep thinking about yourself and your life, assuming that you're a huge Kobe fanboy, or ******ger, whatever they are called.

Pau was also setting up Bynum nicely. Bynum is still an offensive beast though. He backs down just about anybody.

Yes, Bynum even passes to Kobe when Bynum has the advantage. I saw Bynum pass to Kobe for a contested jumper. It was horrible to watch, but at least Bynum and Kobe are getting along well.

If Bynum can constantly incorporate the inside out pass to his game, and adds more effort to D, he is the best center in the League. Just 2 "simple" things away from being better than Howard (glass knees aside).

You seem to know me, but I don't know who you are, what's your other, or former account so that I can at least know who I'm talking to.

And I did watch the game, Kobe missed a bunch of clutch shots while Bynum made a bunch, and I think you're really angry about that. But relax, just concentrate on the two free throws Kobe made and forget about the great game Bynum had.

And in turn you do the exact same thing you try to go at him for. You dont even know if he's a fanboy or not like you stated. But go on the attack.

You're honestly going to tell me that he's not an obvious Kobe fanboy? The guy is angry that Bynum had a great game rather than being happy that the Lakers won. That's why so many people hate the Lakers because of people like him, don't defend him. They would gladly take a Lakers loss if it meant Kobe had a great game, while Gasol & Bynum had horrible ones.

Bynum will struggle being better than Howard. Howard gets what he wants just off his athletic ability at times. Bynum doesn't have those advantages. I think Bynum will be a centerpiece at some point in his career though. He might even get a ring without Kobe. Howard will be the better all around player though.

You talking about the game where Kobe had 7 shots and the lakers were down 17 and then he proceded to take over in the 4th scoring 11 points and dishing out 3 assists in the final mins?

Its was almost a flash back of the boston game.

Come on son. You didn't watch that game. Atleast not with your eyes open, not with objective vision.

And Bynum is what he is because of Kobe and the attention he garners. They run this high-low alot in crunch time.

A. Kobe top of the Key.
B. Pick and Roll from Gasol
C. Double comes at Kobe from Gasol's man.
D. Kobe bounce pass to Gasol.
E. Gasol's man leaves bynum to come help.
F. Gasol throws Easy Alley Opp to Bynum.

And how many times have you seen Kobe drive and throw up an alley opp for Bynum in the clutch? Happens almost every crunch time game they have played this season.

Kobe has made it much easier for Bynum.

But to Bynum's credit, Bynum has just been overpowering and setting himself up nicely in the box. Plus, his moves have definitely improved. He's improved SO much more on offense.

Obviously I'm talking about last nights game, Kobe missing the game winner and missing all those shots in over time, and I understand that to below average intelligence people every little possible detail must be spelled out in order to prevent them from focusing something not related, rather than on the point. But I'm not going to write an essay about the Lakers coming back from down 17 in the 3rd quarter and every other good thing that Kobe did before that, when I'm talking about how you guys are getting insecure over Bynum out shinning Kobe in one little game, and Kobe missing all those shots in over time. My reason for commenting on this thread was to call out how people like you get insecure when other Lakers out perform Kobe, in this case Bynum in over time, and how you guys then start putting down other Lakers, or try to spin it anyway possible to give Kobe credit for their good games. I'm talking about Kobe missing the game winner, and over time, just trying to repeated over and over again, because I imagine that if Kobe had a game where he had an amazing 6 minutes in the 1s quarter, and then proceeded to shoot 0-20 with a bunch of turnovers the rest of the game, you will just come on here focusing on those first 6 minutes.

Now take Lebron, you criticize him all the time, just because you hate him. When he plays great, but misses the game winner like Kobe did, you talk ish about him. You criticize him for creating plays for his team mates, yet you're praising Kobe.

I'm not here to criticize Kobe, I'm here to criticize you creepy people who have a creepy obsession with him, and would rather the Lakers lose, have Bynum and Gasol have horrible games if it meant Kobe had a great one.

Criticize all you want from a position of authority only you recognize. People only take seriously when it's valid, and comes from a credible source. You're pretty much admitting to criticizing Kobe cuz you don't like his fans. Like you have a problem with people having their own opinions. You're so dumb. How could I be having a temper tantrum over something as hilarious as someone starting a thread because they were so insecure over Bynum putting, Shaq like numbers, bigger numbers than Kobe in one game. Don't you see how funny that is? Why would I be angry? Unfortunately you can't see a person's mood, or tone of voice over written words. But what you said leads me to believe that you must get depressed when Miami wins, since you assume that people who are not Kobe fans do when the Lakers win. It feels like you're projecting. (I purposefully said Shaq like numbers cause I'm positive it hurt you. After all, who cares what he did for the Lakers, can't tolerate Shaquile with him putting bigger numbers than Kobe.)

When the hell do you see me talking about Lebron. I'll make a comment here and there since he's a top 2 most popular current player, but that's about it.

I just think that anyone who's against your Kobe agendas = a Lebron lover in your mind.

I've never mentioned that Lebron is the best player in the league (which he is). Perhaps I said it two years ago, but even though it's a reasonable thing to say, someone saying that must mean that that person worships him, in your mind. Because your mind is very simple, sees things in black and white. It's either one or the other. Very simplistic.

Perfect example, about two year ago when Lebron was having an amazing season, clear MVP. Just dominating. Magic said that Lebron was the best player in the world. Reasonable thing to say right? But if you went to youtube, and here, you would see all these illogical fanboys just outraged, like how could Magic say such a thing. Because when you have the fanboy mentality, it's not about being reasonable, or logic, it's about denial of even the most obvious facts, of any fact that might not fit a perfect image of Kobe. Something similar happened when West also called Lebron the best in the world. Denial, that mentality. And don't worry, it's not just basketball related, so it's in all walks of life and I criticize those people also.

We already know YOU'RE(jstern) dumb since YOU'RE the one who basically admit to criticizing Kobe just cuz you don't like his fans. Pretty much admitting to not really knowing anything about basketball. Then turns right around and tries to call other people dumb. Expecting people to take you and anything you say seriously.:hammerhead:

Absolute mind-boggling stupidity(jstern)

HYPOCRITE(jstern): 1)Person who is really a Lebronyte, but doesn't have the balls to admit it. So they PRETEND to be a fan of another team, to try and sound objective. i.e. ANY popular team NOT NAMED Lakers.

2)Lebronyte who's so willing and ready to point out Kobe's flaws. While acting like Lebron has none. And ignores them when pointed out.

ANY QUESTIONS?!:applause:

This from the same clown(jstern) who just admitted to hating on Kobe cuz of his fans?! Nothing to do with the actual game of basketball, just his fans. Basically saying, people have no right to their own opinions unless they agree with you. Please keep responding to me, making yourself look more and more ret**ded. Still being delusional enough to think people will take you or anything you say seriously ever again:hammerhead:

Who are all these Kobe stans that aren't affected by a Lakers loss when Kobe has a big game? I for one appreciate it most when Kobe goes god mode in a win. Who gives a sh*t if Kobe scores 40 when the Lakers lose. But when he does that in a win, all hail LAWDbe

And the emergence of Lord Bynum himself should be something praised separately to de Kobes. We all know there are contributions in personal success from teammates, it's a damn team sport. Kobe is slowly but surely realizing he can depend on Bynum. The league better watch out. When these two are completely on the same page, with the addition of a solid PG, it's pretty much gg.

The idiot only started quoting himself as misdirection, to try to distract people from the fact that he basically admitted to having nothing better to do than to come on ISH, hating on Kobe fans just because they CHOSE to like Kobe. So...he hates Kobe fans cuz they have the power of choice to choose to like Kobe, and not become a Lebronyte like him. So...again, he has a problem with people having their own opinions, different from his own. Then the fake WANNABE e-thug hot garbage he added to that was pure priceless stupidity. The clown(jstern) clearly has some mental issues he needs to talk to a therapist about since, none of that has anything to do me, ISH, or basketball talk for that matter.:facepalm

Perfect example of that weak mind that is always on denial mode from anything that makes them feel uncomfortable, so would focus and make a huge deal out of the most irrelevant points, just to not focus on the uncomfortable. Like, it’s obvious that when I quoted myself, I was adding to my previous point. Yet you fanboys are desperately trying to hold that against me. It’s just so funny.

I do feel a little bad for this LakersReign guy, cause I feel he would just be a person that I wouldn’t even bother with if I saw him in person. Maybe has emotional, serious problems. I'll seriously stop.

WEAK MIND(jstern): Pathetic no life outside of the internet Lebronyte nobody(jstern) who knows nothing about anything. So, he feels threatened by people who have their own opinions, different from his. Which is exactly why he comes on an NBA forum, not to talk about basketball(since he knows nothing about it in the first place) but to pretend to be some WANNABE e-thug, and hate on people for having the power of choice to CHOOSE which teams/players to like.

I can't tell if you are kidding or not. Bynum had a big game with and without Kobe. Did you even watch the video you posted? Kobe had a part in 8 baskets JUST in the video you posted.

Video Breakdown.

First play. Peace missed three Kobe battles for offensive rebound saves it from going out of bounds and hit Bynum for a layup.
Next 5 highlights. 4 Offensive scores and 1 block are Bynum beasting and leading the bench while Kobe gets rest.
Next Kobe posts up and gets doubled. Bynum flashes to the rim and Kobe hits him for a layup.
Next Kobe gets doubled with bynum on weakside. Kobe passes to Artest for wide open three. Peace misses. Marc turns his head and Bynum gets an easy rebound putback.
Next play is important we will be seeing this play a lot in these highlights. Kobe/Gasol pick n roll. Kobe gets doubled, gasol slips and finds the open spot in midrange. Either the opposing center leaves Gasol open for midrange shot or he rotates to Gasol and leaves Bynum open for a pass/alleyoop/easy rebound putback. This time Marc Gasol contests Pau Gasols shot and Bynum gets a rebound dunk. I love watching these three Kobe/pau/Bynum play together.
Next Blake penetrates into the lane and finds Bynum 5 feet away from basket wide open. Bynum puts a strong movie on haddadi and scores.
Next Bynum shows his improved patience in the post. He gets doubled but holds on to the ball high until the second defender left. Takes Gasol baseline for layup.
Next is that play I was talking about. This time grizzlies trap Kobe near halfcourt. Kobe passes to Gasol wide open in midrange. As Marc goes to contest Pau it's an alleyoop to Bynum.
Next play Kobe drives gets the double and lobs it to Bynum who gets the layup.
Next another Kobe/Gasol Pick and roll. Kobe Doubled. Gasol Open. Bynum alley oop.
Next another strong move from bynum as he spins away from double to score.

Next another Kobe/Gasol pick n roll that leads to Bynum alleyoop dunk. Grizzlies cannot stop this.
Next Bynum hits clutch freethrows to end the game.

As you can see Kobe did help Bynum get 8 of his baskets but that doesn't take anything away from Bynum. He showed once again that he can not only score 1 on 1 but he can play off of 2 other all star caliber players effectively.

Kobe has been one of the main reasons that Bynum is having his breakout season. Kobe attracts the double and triple teams and is able to set up opportunities for Bynum and Gasol.

I'm a huge Kobe fan and defender, but you are talking out of your rear. Bynum is having a monster year because he is finally healthy and is being featured as the #2 option in the offense. Gasol was always the #2 guy in the triangle. If you actually watched Lakers games and understood...anything, you'd see that Bynum plays a lot of time with the second unit as their primary scorer...while Kobe is on the bench. Oops.

Now in all seriousness LakersReign, you really need to see help. I'm not the only one saying it in this thread that you seem to have some issues. Yes, Bynum scores great while leading the Bench. No one is denying that. Read my other post above and you can see that the double's Kobe is getting ARE leading to easier opportunities for Bynum. That doesn't take anything away from Bynum. He is a great player because not only can he score playing off Kobe/Gasol but because you can also run the offense through him as you see when he is leading the bench and some plays when the starters are out there too. Not too mention his great defense and rebounding are leading to Kobe and Brown trusting him more and more.
