Fisher needs to retire a Lakers and honestly it would be hard for me to see him play for another team. Lakers need to stay out of the Howard talks and get a capable PG>

Beat deal is for Bynum....problem is Howard will not guarantee to resign with Lakers.

I read the offer does not include Brooks, and the picks are protected.
And Lakers aren't offering for Dwight anymore, he's made it clear today he will not sign an extension there.

If the nets deal is till on the table Otis needs to take that after Howards comments today. Even if we let Humphries and Lopez walk we still clear turk and duhon. I'm assuming that Lakers would have pulled bynum offer now?

Lakers give up too much. No thanks.
I'd re-consider this trade if you replace Pau with Bynum. Having the two best (and young) centers in the league would be epic.

We are in a weird world when Dwight Howard will NOT sign an extension to play in a huge media market, with perfect weather, with Hollywood opportunities galore, with the leagues most storied franchise, to play with one of the greatest players of all time in Kobe.
And yet, he wants to play in the cold, borough of Brooklyn (of all places, has he ever been to Brooklyn?), to be in the shadow of the New York Knicks his entire career, for what is traditionally been a joke of a franchise.
Is Dwight Howard that much of a child that he's letting Shaq's influence affect his decisions? :facepalm Dude's got problems...........

Well, that's not true. Mets have their own history, and Mets have a very loyal following here in NYC. It's about 50/50 split with fans in the city. Only nationally do Yankees have more fans.

Both will start. Offense will always be a struggle, but with them on the court, you have a huge rebounding and defensive advantage. The Lakers would be heads and shoulders the best defensive team in the league.
Last I checked, rebounding and defense wins championships.

Why would Orlando want to keep Dwight on the East. Send him to the west then you wont have to worry about him like that anymore. Now if you send him to NJ you will meet him every year in the playoffs. Bynum, Artest, and Fisher is enough to get a deal done. I would even throw in a first round pick.

Dwight will not sign an extension in LA. He's hellbent and being a Brooklyn Net, so whether this trade offer is true or not, he's not becoming a Laker.
Having his own legacy is important to him. Having a team that will be a force for his entire stay there, not some or half, is important too.
All signs point to Brooklyn. Just a matter of if the Magic get raped in the ass with a dick, or a dildo. Lopez and shit or, nothing.

The Net's should just wait and sign him in the off season and tank the rest of this season. (unless they already gave away their picks to another team).
D-Will, Humphries, Brooks, Lopez, Dwight, lottery pick in deep draft, etc.
That team is set...

Bynum is a legitimate offensive force, and he has made the Lakers somewhat likeable even to non-Laker fans. If they trade him for Dwight there will be a collective gag/vomit session across the country.

And why do you think that is?:hammerhead:
If you have a bunch of garbage ass players that you owe money, OF CORSE you'd want to pawn these bums off on someone else.
Believe me, If the Lakers could give away Luke Walton for free, they would. NOBODY wants to pay for bad players. If you have bad players that are owed money, OF CORSE you'd get rid of them the first chance you get. The problem is nobody is stupid enough to take them.
The problem is you people keep saying "it's better than nothing". No. It's not. It's actually worse than nothing. Getting nothing and having extra money to makes moves with is far better than paying for bums that fill up your salary cap.

Combined with the fact that Dwight Howard Nets shirts are already on the NBAstore, I really hope D12 to Jersey indeed happens. Can't wait to see a D-Will + Dwight Howard pick and roll. Im sure they will run it better than a stupid Cp3 Blake pick and roll.

I don't blame him for wanting Brooklyn. The "i can't go to LA and get yelled at by Kobe and be in Shaq's shadow", that's kind of pussyish. Preferring Brooklyn is just that, a preference.

Something called loyalty?
Nets will get him today sometime, the owner will talk to him, the trade will get made, Dwight will pretend he really didn't want to go but will leave tearfully, we'll all vomit at the fake sentiment and it will be done.
That Nets deal is great. You get Lopez who's a good and young center, you get Brooks who's a future star in the backcourt and you get Humphries who's a good squad player. That's as good as it gets for Orlando.

it's realistic value and Orlando would be foolish not to take it. Back earlier when more teams were in the mix and the Lakers were a viable option, it wasn't as good but now that Orlando has ****ed themself up, it's more than fair and if they are not finishing it now they are stupid.

It's hard for you to keep Hump regardless so i wouldn't worry too much. It's like the Knicks when we traded, Chandler was the one piece i didn't care because he'd have been hard to keep. To get Dwight in FA, you need to cut Hump anyway.
