Leaving Beasley on the bench is a great idea, let's not act like he shouldn't be getting 30 minutes a night on the bench or starting, he could basically be the Lamar Odom of the team being a PF/scorer off the bench and SF to end the 2nd and 4th quarters. Sessions needs to be starting.

Beasley won't start. He's a scorer. He wouldn't get any touches with Kobe, Bynum, and Gasol.

I don't even know why we're going after Beasley. I like the kid; he's got a lot of potential. But come on, a guy like Crawford would be infinitely more valuable. Crawford's a gamer, while Beasley's living off his college reputation and talent.

The scoring for the 1st unit isn't the problem. Gasol/Bynum/Kobe do fine. And Artest usually guards the opponents best player. And Fisher plays well off of them. Fisher may not start in the future but right now we need much more scoring on the bench. Sessions/Goudelocke/Barnes/Beasely/Bynum or Gasol would actually extend leads & not lose them. Lakers would be set if we get Beaseley.

I didn't say he would grow. But the Lakers need people that can score for the perimeter. They have NO ONE besides Kobe and that isn't gonna cut it. Lakers need a scorer and Beasley would be extremely cheap. You should stop laughing and learn the game.

And none of them except for Bynum really do it when the bench is out there. You don't think having Beasley off the bench to support bynum in scoring is better then what they currently were using in Blake/Goudelock/Barnes/Murphy

This. The Sessions signing obviously gives them a quality starting PG, but you've taken a Perkins-to-OKC-esque hit to team chemistry. Kobe's a professional, but he's only ever been without Fisher for a very short period of time during his LA tenure. You're also assuming a lot that Sessions will fit seamlessly into the starting lineup for the Lakers... with Phil Jackson, perhaps. But with Mike Brown at the helm? It may not be exactly painless.

I don't know if Brown would have started sessions but I doubt it.the front office basically made sure he would give sessions the minutes he needs. I don't have a problem with losing Fish outside of his leadership role in the locker room. But people acting like losing fish is a huge deal. Trading away odom was a much bigger deal as far as chemistry and team comraderie goes but that didn't effect them that much either.

It depends.

1) You must attach a player or a pick with the TPE to make it work.
2) Minnesota might have wanted to get an expiring contract but who can help their rotation in the process, not necessarily salary relief. They might have just wanted financial flexibility.
