I don't know what thread it was in but showtime posted something like kobe's such a selfish douche he probably is thinking about how sessions can help him win more than losing fisher. I didn't believe it was like that but

Fisher is no LeBron. Kobe is no Mo. He is mostly about business, and he knows Fisher can rejoin next season if bought out if so wishes. Nothing surprising here.

Let's be honest...you had a solid career, but you're definitely on the down slope.

You just don't have that same lift you once had...finishing at the rim just isn't as easy as it once was.

I honestly thought that black Kobe mask would be cooler. It looks like some kind of bondage mask you get at a sex shop. All that's missing is a ball gag and Shaq with a whip and bottle of tequila. No need for salt of course.

Kobe is upset about it, of course he doesn't like it. But he's a professional, and has been through this before, so naturally he won't make much drama out of it in the media.

I don't see how you got the message that Kobe didn't give a shit about Fisher.

Kobe stopped playing the media's game a long time ago. Whether you're a Laker fan or not, everybody knows how close he and D. Fish are. Keeping that in mind, they go ask him about the trade. Either way Kobe can't win. If he shows no real emotion, he's this and that. And if he does show emotion, oh see that's why you can't compare him to Jordan cuz Jordan never really showed emotion to the media. He was asked a question, he answered it, end of story. L.I.G. it, just let it go.

Pointblank, Kobe's a narcissist. He doesn't give a shit about other people. Listen to him speak to the media. He's always saying stuff like, "The guys are here to help me." He rarely, if ever, speaks about the team. He's probably upset that Fisher was traded, but I guarantee his reaction to not being told about the trade prior to it happening and the Sessions acquisition were more important.

So....according to you, I supposedly have Kobe like a god or something. Never mind the fact that I've never once said anything like that EVER on here? NOWHERE in my post did I either imply that, or outright say it. Those are YOUR WORDS, not mine. Read the words on the screen as they are. Adding stuff to what a person said, means you have an agenda, and you want people to play into it. Like I said before, L.I.G. it....just let it go.

The two events are mutually exclusive. Trading Fisher was primarily a salary dump move, unlike Walton's (a coup in itself nonetheless). Doubt Kobe thinks the Fisher trade ipso facto will help him win a title this season.

The Fisher trade wasn't a salary dump. It was done for three reasons:

1. To make Sessions more comfortable. He is clearly the present and future at point guard

2. To stop our idiotic coach from playing Fisher over Blake. Kupchak actually said he thought it'd be hard for Brown to bench Fisher. That shows you what type of coach Brown is. :oldlol:

3. To show Kobe who's boss. This obviously can't be proven, but Jim Buss is a douche bag and it wouldn't surprise me in the least if he wanted to show Kobe who's in charge

:oldlol:

What I don't understand is why he pretends to be cool with the new generation of players e.g. LeBron, Wade, etc. It's painfully obvious LeBron and Wade hate Kobe. Despite what Wade said, that elbow was clearly intentional; he was SMIRKING after the play. And then you have guys like Amare calling Kobe out for ballhogging in the all-star game. :oldlol: Only Durant, Rose, Paul, Williams, and Anthony respect Kobe. And naturally a lot of those guys are "old school" and actually want to win, whereas guys like LeBron and Howard constantly have their competitiveness questioned.

The Lakers are way over the cap. Jordan Hill's an expirer. Not a hard thing to figure out. While I def agree that benching Fisher would've been awkward and probably would've required some time, that's hardly a valid reason to lose his services. Don't agree with #3, already validated with the Odom trade, and the fact that Kobe wasn't involved when the Lakers decided to go for CP3.

I don't either. It's also painfully obvious he hates them as well.

Everything else post 2008 he's been non PC about. Just be honest Kobe, it would make things way more entertaining.

Kobe purposefully didn't hang out with them in the summer of 2008, either.

Yea those cats aren't into the whole ... "lets form NBA AAU teams" ... they clearly want to prove their worth playing other great player's teams.

whereas guys like LeBron and Howard constantly have their competitiveness questioned.
I've even questioned Wade's after allowing this whole fiasco to happen in 2007 or whenever these homos conspired to do this.
