1. To make Sessions more comfortable. He is clearly the present and future at point guard

2. To stop our idiotic coach from playing Fisher over Blake. Kupchak actually said he thought it'd be hard for Brown to bench Fisher. That shows you what type of coach Brown is. :oldlol:

What I don't understand is why he pretends to be cool with the new generation of players e.g. LeBron, Wade, etc. It's painfully obvious LeBron and Wade hate Kobe. Despite what Wade said, that elbow was clearly intentional; he was SMIRKING after the play. The Lakers are way over the cap. Jordan Hill's an expirer. Not a hard thing to figure out. While I def agree that benching Fisher would've been awkward and probably would've required some time, that's hardly a valid reason to lose his services.
