View Full Version : Bold prediction: Celtics will miss the playoffs

iDunk

It's very possible for the Celtics to miss the playoffs, only 3.5 games in and they have a lot more road games remaining than home games, plus they have a stretch where they play the Jazz, Wolves, Heat, San Antonio, Bulls, Pacers, 76ers, Heat, and the Hawks. That's BRUTAL especially for their "elderly" team. If one of the big 4 go down, they're out IMO. The Celtics are bound to get fatigued especially Garnett with him logging minutes at center regularly.

I'm expecting for the Bucks and Knicks to take up the 7th and 8th seeds.

Bulls-Knicks and Heat-Celtics would be very nice 1st round matchups.

Hopefully Bucks won't crash the party.

kNIOKAS

I actually think they can pull 5-6th seed. Yes the remainder of the season going to be played on the road for the most part, but they can get few steal wins and few upsets like nothing. Just have to concentrate at one game at the time... 2-2 on present road trip, with losing to the Kings. Take that one out and it's a nice start.

Don't get emotional, the topic is about the Celtics not the Knicks or their head to head matchups.

How convenient, a Knicks fan thinks Boston will slip out of the playoffs, and the Knicks will slip in.

You know, I hope the Knicks DO get that 8th spot.

After the first round, maybe you overreacting Knicks fans will get a dose of reality.

It didn't happen after getting swept last season, nor has it ever happened before that, so I wouldn't count on it. It's pretty embarrassing.

Tyson has never played a full 82 game season and only averages 64 games a year over his 11 years in the league. It's not unreasonable to think something may happen in this shortened season and he's depended on a lot.

Excluding this year, Derrick averaged 80 games a season... If not for the stupid toe injury earlier in the year he wouldn't of missed at least 3/4 of the games as he has this season. I'm not trying to knock Tyson but the math clearly shows a trend.

Celtics have a better chance of pulling an upset then the unproven knicks squad. The Celtics still play with a lot of pride and will make their opponent work to get rid of them.
