This dude had an HORRENDOUS night, yet he was never afraid of shooting and taking the last shot, and you bet hes going all out the next game and is ready to get back on pace. A tru warrior whos failures just fuel him to be even more successful.

He cost the team the game by continuing to shoot. He SHOULD have passed in that situation. 3-20 is pathetic, period. Inexcusable that he had more shots than Bynum who was nearly perfect from the field.

you take the good and the bad with Kobe. That indomitable will is a lot of what allowed him to become one of the 15 greatest players ever. It is also what has helped will the lakers to 5 titles and 7 finals appearances.

In the grand scheme of things, regular season games don't matter much to Lakers fans.

Bynum needs to grow a pair and demand a trae in the offseason

Would be pretty epic if Bynum was caught on video calling Kobe a bum and saying they need to "ship his ass out." Followed by the Lakers franchise choosing Bynum over Kobe much like when they chose Kobe over Shaq.

Kobe was playing a game of psychological warfare. He wants to prepare Bynum and Gasol for the playoffs, so he purposely took and missed a lot of shots to get their confidence going, get them thinking, "Hey, I'm playing better than the Black Mamba. I must be pretty damn good." Only Kobe would be so selfless.

You're right.. it happens.. but I dunno, 3-20 is probably worse than 7 turnovers.

7 turnovers against the Jazz might turn into 4-5 baskets max. If Kobe shoots his avg 43% that's an extra 6 baskets than what he made on the night.

The problem with the emergence of Bynum is that it's relegated Kobe almost exclusively to the perimeter for the sake of spacing. Pau and Bynum take up too much space. As a result Kobe never posts up and he shoots a bunch of 3s.

If Brown was smart instead of leaving Bynum out there with the second unit to start he would rest Kobe early and then play him for the rest of the second so he can get a feel for the game. He gets no easy shots anymore and a lot of that is because of where Brown is putting him on the floor.

Some of those nights he had no choice but we cannot have this going forward. He has two all star big men that need the ball. If Pau isnt being aggressive then Kobe needs to chew his ass out and tell him to make moves. Taking that many shots and shooting a shitty percentage wont help the team. He has other options.

So most of those are like 30% or sub 30% and thats 1/4th of the season? Its probably like 20% really ... So the other 3/4, what would he have been shooting to get to 42%? Something like 45-50 right?

75% of his games he shoots around 50%..? Thats pretty solid. He'd probably have been able to turn that 45% career avg into 48% if he wanted to with minimal effect on wins/losses.
