Hahaha... what made you think this would be a good question? I'd take Hibbert over most centers in the league let alone DJ who's having a low impact season and looks like a role player.

Are you really insinuating he might be top 5? Guy is straight garbage, one of the worst starting centers in the entire league atm.

Hibbert fell off HARD after the all star game. I remember at the beginning of the season, people were posting stats like "Hibbert has more blocks than most teams", and now he's getting his shit swatted by Korver :lol

Throw a big that can shoot out there and Hibbert is totally useless.

True.
He's been one of the worst STARTERS, period, not just centers, over the last month or so. Definitely one of the worst players in the playoffs thus far. His defense has even suffered. Watching the games, his defense hasn't been THAT great since all star break either. What is wrong with Roy?
For the record I hated DJ and relatively liked Hibbert when this thread was created so I would've gone with him, haha. DJ has proved me soooo wrong and I'm happy to admit that. Proud of that dude.

Clippers would need to S&T DAJ along with send someone else off the roster (Crawford for example) to be able to absorb Hibbert's contract.

Yep.
Ellis/Felton to Pacers for Hibbert
Hibbert to Clippers for DJ/Crawford
Mavs keep 10 million in cap space and add DJ/Crawford.
Please...

I don't see any incentive for the Pacers to help either West team, frankly. And I highly doubt the Clippers will compound their losses today by sending Jamal to Dallas. :lol

The Pacers, from all reports, are trying to get rid of Hibbert. They'd definitely rather have cap room than Hibbert...and helping a West team is better than helping an East team.
As for the Clippers...that is where it gets tricky.
Maybe they go after Koufous, but they'll have to give up someone to get him in a sign and trade as they can't get him any other way unless I'm missing something. And that is taking up space next season.
If they do something for Hibbert...they retain all their cap room for next year because he's expiring.
I don't know it this will all happen, but it makes a lot of sense to work out a complex three way trade here. Every team gains something important in it.

No. Nothing is actually signed yet.
Teams work out stuff after the fact now all the time.
