For those that don't know the Trayvon Martin story, he was a teenage boy who was stalked by a Neighborhood Watchman (not a cop) just because he looked suspicious wearing a hoodie and then later shot. The man who shot him, George Zimmerman, was not arrested by the Florida Sanford Police Department and remained free of the crime.

Problem is that under current Florida law, he might not actually have committed a crime. Obviously it should be a crime, but the current law is incredibly poorly written, and seems to have a loophole for this exact kind of scenario.

Why was he allowed to keep the gun and free to go when they saw that Trayvon only had skittles and ice tea?
