Watching Kobe take jumpshots is really beautiful and I'm not even a Kobe fan.

Kobe and Chris Paul come to mind.

Love also has a very fundamentally sound jumper.

My boy Gordon does as well, but his release is a bit low.

Kobe doesn't have textbook form. Most coaches would probably point to Nash as a perfect example of good shooting form.

Joe Johnson, I'm going with my team's guy.

His jump shot is picture perfect in terms of technique and form.

Best fundamentals for a jump shot.

But text book form can be flawed...Kobe's high release allows him to shoot over just about any guard.

His elbow is not 'right' but you can't argue with the results.
I like del curry's jumpshot and Glen Rice's too.

 Shawn Marion's unorthodox but lightning quick release has probably helped him throughout his career as well.

? I thought we were talking about how non-textbook shooting form can sometimes be beneficial.

Kobe's always kicking his legs and doing unnecessary fadeaways. Aesthetically pleasing yes but not fundamental.

Steph Curry. Ray Allen's form isn't completely textbook, he uses way more wrist than any coach would recommend (clearly works for him though).

Ray Allen shoot with elbow lean to the right

http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_9wfky09hMXw/TVMQSPWxEYI/AAAAAAAAAgw/xObWoWC27hw/s1600/RayAllenThree.jpg

Stephen Curry shoot with the palm head lean to the left

They're both effective but not fundamental.

Kobe Bean Bryant is eye candy even when well defended.

ray allen is  too, but not so much in tough D situations.

Ray Allen is the best shooter of all times but definitely not textbook.
Steph Curry is closer to fundamental perfection but if I have to pick one I'll go with Sarunas Jasikevicius.

If this is being settled off the court in an empty gym, i'd give it to nash. He is a great set shooter. In game, thats a lot tougher. I think right now you have to go with KD. He makes long distance jumpers look like layups.

Melo, Morrow, Jasikevicius have perfect shooting forms.
