Guess who's back...

Irving will be available for Cleveland tonight after returning in the last game. For the Knicks, it's a chance to solidify their hold on 7th and possibly move toward 8th. For Cleveland - well, a loss gets them more ping pong balls so we'll see what kind of effort they bring.

A win tonight keeps the slim chance of getting 6 seed alive.

But the thing is, should Knicks even want 6th seed? Pacers are playing great ball. I guess I'd rather play them, rather than Heat, but it's questionable.

Also, that Gadzuric signing is a huge no confidence vote in both Jorts and Jordan. Bet Gadzuric plays over both of them.

I'm just concerned Kyrie's shot is going to start falling. He's gotten two wide-open 3-pointers that, prior to the injury, would have splashed. His jumper is a little rusty at the moment.

If those start dropping... :facepalm

Someone needs to get the memo to Shump NOT to leave him open behind the line.

I hope the Knicks fired whoever ****ed with Fields shot over the summer. The percentage he shot last year would be third best on the team this year. Now I'm just excited when he gets it over the front of the rim. :lol

The problem with the Bibby/Shumpert/Smith rotation is that we have no one who can run the pick and roll, mitigating Stoudemire's impact and making Chandler useless offensively.

So it's just iso, three ball, iso. I'm not so optimistic about that kind of offense in the playoffs.

im not sure if you this literally, but im gonna go with my assumption that you're not being sarcastic

im totally in favor of tanking. i think its clearly a flawed system, the lottery, and the draft, and that you just have to take advantage of that, but actually, in game, triny to throw a game, is where it goes to far for me.

i can understand 'resting' guys, giving young guys more minutes, trading away vets who will only help you win games in the short term and will give no help long-term, im on board with all of these things, but when you are talking about essentially just throwing a game (as a few teama have been accused of recently), i have a big problem with that. i think that really crosses a line, and i would be really disappointed in coach scott, and the cavs organisation as a whole if they decided to do that

of course theres a good chance you were just kidding, in that case just disregard this post.

having a weak link like amar'e really messes the defense up for everyone. he has no idea how to guard the perimeter. he's actually a better defender as a center than a power forward because at least he doesn't have to move as much.

I'm not sure if it's too late to experiment in the season but I'd definitely want to see how Melo at PF and Amare at C would look like in stretches. They both have excelled in those positions before and that should give them more room to operate in the paint/post.

the knicks MUST trade amar'e. it would be doing melo an injustice if they didn't. wasting his prime.

trading amar'e and lin for calderon and bargnani is the right basketball decision. I know this stupid team won't do it because lin is the cash cow he is, but that trade would be how they get onto the completely right path toward having a contender for the next 3-4 years.

man, I've been saying this for a while. and it kills me when I hear the excuses because all I remember is ONE game where amar'e and melo both played well. that was against the grizzlies last year, and amar'e was making all these long twos. there's a YEAR'S worth of evidence that this duo plain isn't happening. what more do people need to see. just ridiculous at this point to keep thinking it's going to happen.

how is it a coincidence that the second amar'e gets back, the defense looks like crap, the offense looks like crap, melo plays terribly, amar'e plays terribly. amar'e messes everything up on defense and the spacing and chemistry is terrible with amar'e, melo, and tyson on the floor together. just terrible.

devastating win for the cavs

with a loss we would have tied the kings for 4th worst record, and we were tied with new orleans and sacramento on wins, but we have less losses.

with this win, we now only have one win less than the raptors, with even losses.

so we go from in striking distance of a top 3 spot, and with this win, we are now much closer to the 6th spot

Shots were just not going in & the Cavs were making the most retarted shots. God this team needs a a guy who can penetrate & kick. This game hardly mattered, Knicks weren't gonna get the 6th.

Knicks just need to get some momentum for the playoffs with the starting lineup & they'll be fine. Amare actually looked like he had his legs, he had 4 blocks tonight. Timing was still off on offense though. Him & Melo will figure it out, they want to succeed too much to not figure it out.

God damn Amar'e ruins everything, is there anyway the Knicks can get rid of this scrub?

already ?
:facepalm

stat n melo is still figuring out how to play well together, which i don't know will this ever work ?
how many rebounds did amare grab tonight ? 3 ?
man, a 6'5 manny harris grab 12 tonight. Losing to a team like cavaliers is just sad.
For a basketball team who wants to at least advance to the 2nd round of playoffs, you can't lose to cleveland cavaliers.

Did the Knicks just allow Manny Harris to get 12 rebounds? In one game?

Again, I repeat... Manny Harris just got 12 rebounds in a game. That isn't his total for the week (which would have been a major step up). He actually rebounded the ball 12 times in one regular 48-minute basketballing contest.

My god. :facepalm

May you rot in hell, Knicks. You may be the only team I will root against if matched vs. Miami. Die in a fire.

Wait when did Harris been known as a bad rebounder? He's known as a great rebounder for his size.

And, I know it is crazy, but to hear AC and Fred celebrate the victory... I wanted to drop kick both of them. I know it is their job and they can't partake in the tank, but...

Holy christ stop with the screaming and yelling. Damn it.

AC would never ever have the thought of tanking and so should the team. AC bleeds wine and gold.

Wait when did Harris been known as a bad rebounder? He's known as a great rebounder for his size.

What a complete overstatement. He averages 2.4 rebounds in 16 minutes per game... A little over a rebound per 8 minutes played. If he played 36 minutes per game, he would average 5 rebounds per.

Certainly not a bad rebounder, but "great for his size?" He is an average rebounder for his position, maybe even a little above average...

But, great? No sir.

You can bleed wine and gold and still have your wits about you. Nothing positive came from this win tonight. Not a single thing. If you bleed wine and gold, you should realize that while still maintaining a professional demeanor.

Surprised to see Irving in this game. I thought they'd let him be on the bench the rest of the season, that is unless he's 95-100% healthy now. Which I hope that's true. Anyway, good to see him get some work in before the end of the season, it's all about experience right now. He would've have an very an awesome night if it wasn't for the 1-7 from downtown which hurt his overall game, but great to see him out there running like crazy. Some of the highlights were insane to watch his speed.

Don't matter that we won truth be told. Clippers had 8th worst record and had #1 pick last season because it was Stern throwing us a bone because Lebron dipped on us. The lottery is rigged and Charlotte will get the #1 pick this season because Stern wants to throw Jordan a bone. Y'all think the lottery is real? lmao

it's a total bummer, i haven't seen one fan happy with this result. but i need some sort of rationalization. Hopefully we get lucky in the lottery

How about all the fans who bought tickets to go see the game. I'm sure they went in the arena hoping they would lose.
