I teased the f*ck out of Wade for this. A few months later I dislocated my shoulder and it's 100x worse than breaking a bone. If someone offered me a wheel chair rather than walking to the car to go to hospital damn right I would have taken it. The guy is still a bitch tho. Just sticking up for him on this one thing.

I'm a die hard Laker fan, but people need to understand that Wade had a shoulder separation, not just a dislocation. (Unless I'm wrong here but I remember it being a separation.) Separations are way worse and can lead to all kinds of permanent damage. It's excruciatingly painful. The fact that he's back and able to play at an elite level is a pretty big credit to the guy.

this is the same guy that needed a wheelchair for an elbow injury. he is out for the playoffs

He looked like he was in true pain so I wouldn't judge him for that. I would understand if it was a typical common injury, but people act as if dislocating a shoulder causes the same amount of pain as landing awkwardly.

Rondo got his elbow dislocated by Wade when Wade leg-swept him and Rondo and walked off court I believe. And he came back in and played with one arm.

Some people are just tougher than others. Wade is not one of those people.

Still doesn't mean the pain is extreme for Wade and Rondo when the injury happened. It's like when you twist an ankles, hurts like hell, can barely walk, a few minutes later you can't help but want to play. It's not the norm to come back and play with one arm, so you just can't go oh this player came out to play with one arm, this other one didn't, this other one is a *****.

Plus from what I just read Wade's injury was dislocated to an extreme extent and had nerve damage. Rondo dislocated an elbow. Two different injury.

Wade is goddam lucky Rondo didn't get hurt worse. And as it was, the guy couldn't use his arm afterwards and still walked off, and came back and played.

I won't even argue with you because you won't even make the effort to understand my point so are incapable.

2 different injuries. If you dislocated your shoulder, I don't think you would be able to run, if you dislocated your elbow, you would at least have that body movement once the pain settles.

But again your point is stupid. You try to take unrelated events to make something look worse. To make my point clearer to you, I'm going to make the injury more extreme. It's like if a guy breaks his arm with his bone sticking out and leaves the game, not to come back till the next season. And then you calling that guy a wimp because another guy had a similar injury, and for whatever reason the guy tried to continue playing on the same game with a bone sticking out. Never mind you won't understand, because your agenda is just trying to one player down.

For a dislocated finger? Lol. LeBron did his finger the other day too. Wade could have played out the game today, but it's a pretty meaningless game at this stage of the year, so no point risking further injury.

like writers from ESPN are medical experts in identifying a fake from a real injury. :facepalm and like the team would tell the truth about things like these. :lol

injuries are not that hard to figure out when you have background in human anatomy. it's not like these players are aliens with different physiological make up as ours. if you know how the human body functions, you'll know what it is capable of and not capable of in a specific injury.

and i tell you a dislocated wrist cannot even move much less dribble, catch, or shoot a basketball. and ocular inspection from far away can identify dislocation pretty easily. that's why i know if Kobe was playing and their press release was he had wrist dislocation, i know it's all bullshit.

even if they pump him full of painkillers, the problem with a wrist injury is anatomical function, you know? the wrist would not slide up or down if it is dislocated as there is no structure to roll around on since the joint is not in place. look at xrays of wrist dislocations man. you can see how bones are placed in a dislocation. that's why i know it's all just bullshit. immobilization is the first management after setting the dislocated joint. so if Kobe's playing and his wrist is not in a splint, his wrist is not dislocated (or may have been but has since healed) so the press release that this guy PLAYS THROUGH INJURIES is just that - AN ACT meant to make Kobe look like a warrior.

real doctors would not permit any player to play through a dislocation. their licenses would be in jeopardy. :lol

... I'm sure this has been said several times over in this thread but Kobe has like 2 broken fingers, a dislocated pinkie and a broken wrist or something...

In fact many pundits say that Kobe's ability to play through injury may be one of the best ever (even including football). If Wade sits through this then I really don't know what to think of him in regards to injury and his ability to play.

And your telling me you know enough advanced anatomy/biomechanics/physiology to tell me that? What is your background? How much education have you completed in the subject? My major is in fact in anatomy/biomechanics/kinesology so please tell me how you came to your conclusion?

And believe me, i would trust ESPN (a massive conglomerate organization who can afford the best kinesologists the world over) over some random poster on ISH :facepalm. I don't know enough about the injury right now or otherwise I would go more in depth into carpal dislocations.

And btw there are many carpal bones (which make up your wrist). So don't fool yourself into thinking that just because you took anatomy 101 or AP bio that you have a grasp on how the human body works. It's much more complicated than that.
