View Full Version : Who do you hope get #1 draft pick?

Nash

Basically, where would you like to see Anthony Davis play? I don't want Charlotte to get the nr 1 pick. They stink, don't have good players to build around and that Davis could grow with. His awesome talent would go to waste for years.

Personally, I would love to see him with Washington. With a pg like John Wall and a star like Nene, they could achieve some great things together. Things could go really fast and they could be a playoff team in like 2 years.

If not Wizards then Cleveland would be fun too. Him and Kyrie Irving could become a great duo.

The reason I don't think Charlotte deserves him is because they are not competitive at all. Not only were they the worst team in the league and of all time, but they get blown out by the second worst team (Wizards). Cavs were tanking the last month of the season, and we beat them no problem, without some of our starters.

100% guarantee Washington makes the playoffs if they get Davis. I think they could make the playoffs, as is. Washington, Detroit, Cleveland, Brooklyn...they could all use him and would all make the playoffs with him.

I can handle him going to any of those teams. If Charlotte gets the 1st pick, then I'd look to trade it to a team like Portland (if they get two picks) or another team with a high pick and some pieces I want.

BTW, if New Orleans were to get the 2nd pick and 1st pick, you'd take Robinson over MKG?

No to Nets because then the Net fans will say "see, trading our pick away to rent Wallace (he opted out) was a great trade because the 6% chance came in!" That would annoy me.

That said if they get Davis and trade him for Howard they are nuts. If Howard gets a relapse of his back injury it will be one of the worst trades in NBA history.

Cavs are best situation for him. The Cavs are the best situation for any player in the draft other than Robinson imo. Robinson will thrive in Washington though. Washington will be the second best situation for all of the players, and imo the best for TRob.

Also, for all the teams that won the coin loss it's only a .1% better chance than before so an example will be Sac with a 7.9% and Nets with 7.8% at number 1 pick, not much of a difference.

It is a hell of a lot more than that. The Cavs now can't pick lower than No. 6 overall. The Hornets' lowest pick now is 7.

Kings are the best fit for Davis- wouldn't need to be the #1 or 2 scorer and would fit perfectly with their core and get a lot of the credit when they rise up to playoff team- my next choices would be toronto or washigton- toronto because it would increase the very small chance that Bargnani could be traded to knicks and washington just because I'm a nene fan

Cavs will get an extra 4 number combination out of 1000

Its good that Cav's lowest pick can only be six but the percentages to land a top 3 or the first pick are very close for Hornets and Cavs,

I am always very aware of the worst possible scenario. It is as important if not more that we have a 96% chance of picking in the Top 5 than whatever are combinations are for the top pick.

The Hawks had a year where we won 13 games. But that was a good year because we played our young guys and developed them, developed a good team culture and competed every night.

Charlotte had a disaster of a season. It was good to get young guys like White, Mullens, Biyombo, Walker, Henderson minutes. But they didn't create any good team culture. The coach was an idiot who didn't know how to talk to his guys at all. They were going to lose a lot, but he should have kept them competitive.

Losing is ok as long as a team tries, is competitive and is improving their young players.

I want Toronto to get the number one pick, because they tried to win and tried to be competitive. They didn't just tank it.

bobcats of course. you people are ****ing dumb saying they don't "deserve" the first overall pick. do you not understand the concept of the draft? the worst teams get the highest picks in order to make them competitive for the futute, that's the entire point. the bobcats were the worst team in the NBA. yes, they might have been tanking a little bit, but even if they played all their starters all the time they weren't winning any more than even 10-11 games.

and anthony davis would be great for the bobcats. an anthony davis/bismack biyombo frontcourt would be a defensive powerhouse in 3-4 years, and davis would give kemba a legitimate athletic big to work with.

change the bobcats' name back to the hornets after NO changes their name and you got a legitimate franchise for the future

As long as Charlotte or the Hornets don't get it I'd be cool. Would love to see a team like the Bucks or Rockets get it since they actually try and win basketball games but the lottery is not like that. Kings would be cool too, don't think they've ever won the lottery.

Biyombo/Davis/Walker are three young pieces that could be very good... But then you'd need to sign some vets and a scorer to get anything done, and I doubt the Bobcats would pull that off.

Davis, Biyombo, Walker...Jamison going back to go Charlotte suddenly makes them solid...seriously...the frontcourt would have to develop, offensively, but you instantly have a team with 3 guys playing very good defense and all rebounding. Jamison wants to go back home...he would fit in well...they could take a shot at a Dragic too...but that seems too easy lol...hard to get over such a bad season.

yes, and he does a lot of things that don't show up on the stat sheet. Very noticeable difference in terms of ball movement and spacing ever since the mcgee-nene trade.

Where do you like Nene? I think he probably is a PF, tho he could work as a C on a team that runs.
