Seriously.

I don't know what I find more irritating, that Lin thinks he can or will be the Knicks savior or that he thinks rushing back from an injury is okay.

Would this be the craziest shit ever: Knicks down 3-0 in the series, Lin comes in and leads the Knicks to 4 straight wins.

do you actually think he will make a difference if he did play?

Lin isn't good, and without the Mike D'anonti offense he will be exposed like the fraud he is.

when did I say I thought it'd make a difference? I thought what I said came closer to implying the opposite ...

I don't think Lin would help the Knicks play the Heat. I think he'd struggle with turnovers too much to provide the offensive consistency they need.

and he doesn't "need" mike d'antoni's offense. all he needs is spacing and pick and rolls and he is a decent player. maybe not a 20/10 player, but a decent player.

I like how systems take players who aren't "good" and allows them to play like superstars over 26 games.

I think I'd prefer Lin to sit out...then again...I would prefer to see a guy who has big ass balls going for it...I'm just don't want him to play if he's susceptible to any longterm problems.

lol @ u people dissing someone wanting to come back and play ball. The dudes a baller let him play if he wants to play.

Thats the competitive nature you like to see in players. Imagine if this was carmello, it would be the opposite (taking longer than he needs cos hes a pansy ass)

knicks have no pg right now, unless you count baron davis doing something in the 1st quarter. if anything, he is someone the heat have to pay attention to while baron, they left open. so i would take lin playing in a heartbeat. hurry back, and hopefully knicks dont get swept and extend the series a couple of games :lol

If he wanted to make a return, he shouldn't have waiting til after a Game 1 blowout. Even Lin can't lift those poor spirits up now.
Returning for this series will make him look bad and possibly hurt his chances at full recovery.

Plus 1.

Rushing back only ended Roy's great career.

Lin should use the entire summer to get his body back to health.

situations and the injury are nothing alike. Lin had a routine surgery. The surgery was not necessary at the time and far from serious. Players come back quickly from it all the time.

If Lin isn't 100%, it's not worth it. Don't want to further injure yourself right before you're on the verge of a new contract, possibly as much as the MLE.

I know Knicks fans would probably prefer he play, but I'm not sure that's the best idea anyways. Lin would need some time to get back into the groove of things. That means he'd most likely being making some sloppy passes or making wreckless turnovers in the meantime, something that Miami feasts on.

Clutch
04-29-2012, 12:44 PM
Let him heal completely. We're not beating Miami. Our chances weren't high at start, now with refs being one sided and Shumpert's injury we need a miracle.

So when Bosh went like 1 for 18 vs Chicago they shouldn't have played him vs the Bulls in the playoffs?

If Knicks go down 3 - 0 , then I wouldn't even bother. Let it heal normal pace.

On the other hand..........

Jim Ross "Lebron, Wade, and Bosh in the ring.....beating on Melo 1 on 3......**CRASH**......what's this? it can't be!!!......that's his music!!!.......Lebron in stunned disbelief........Lin walks out from the back!!!.......crowd goes crazy.
Lin walking towards the ring!.......Wade looking at the ref for help!.......Lin enters......Lin and Melo beating down Lebron and Wade......Bosh goes at Lin......THE LINSANINATOR!!!!.......Oh MY!!!!!!!.........Lin and Melo clear the ring.........Heat trio head towards the back in pain..........MY GOD.........WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!"

have you noticed that lin is new york's best point guard?
should they not play their best point guard?
maybe they should sit melo because he cant survive the pressure too?

Yes we know. Even if it meant all of the players in the league suffering career ending injuries, as long as the Heat don't win a title you'd be okay. You'd probably break your best friend's knee cap if it meant not seeing the Heat win a championship.

I think Jet Li should play Jeremy Lin, because he's a bit younger and a better match visually. Also, Jet Li has the same ability to drive to the hole. Jackie Chan is more of a cross between Nash and Iverson.
