They have a normal team with a nice superstar hes doing OK nice balanced attack.. but what can you do against a team with 2? How do you beat a team that has a guy that can go 11-18 for 25 pts in a playoff game, fairly consistently, and hes not even the best player on the team?
I can't wait to see if they manage to lose this year.

It's pretty hard to beat a team with 3 superstar players, which is unprecedented in this league. Bunch of cowards banding together to win a ring because they can't take a challenge. That's how I'll remember the Miami Heat.

The Spurs are a better team than the Heat and the Thunder are better at positions 1-5 including the bench.
Both beat the Heat, would be surprised if it even made it to a game 7

It's just a bad storm for the Knicks. Facing the best team in the NBA. The reffing has clearly gone in the Heat's favor (but it wouldn't matter, Heat still would've won this series in all likeliness).

If Dirk can do it, why can't Melo?
Because Melo's supporting cast isn't as good as/as fitting as Dirk's. Plus the chemistry there sucks. Melo is better than Dirk, but just can't take over when every ounce of attention is on him. Dirk had a few bad games in the playoffs last year that saw him get backed up by Jet and crew. Melo doesn't have that luxury.
If Dirk had a less-talented and slower version of himself at another position, he would be in the same boat as Melo.
There's nothing to be said about playing this Heat team. Their obviously an elite team and their coming together trusting one another against a team that seem to not know anything and going for the 0-12 playoff record. Hopefully we put up a fight at home, otherwise then that were done. I don't see us winning this series and any Knick fan that see otherwise is obviously delusional.

No they do not. I've never heard anyone call Bosh a superstar. I've also heard plenty of people claim that Wade has lost a step and that he's slowing down. I've heard how Wade is not a top 5 player etc... Most people throughout the season ranked LeBron, Dwight, Rose and Durant consistently above Wade. Melo = Dirk
JR Smith/Shumpert = Terry

Fields = Peja

Bosh is not a superstar, but yea...they have unreal talent in the top 3. But so do the Thunder right now.
Durant/Westbrook/Harden....its worse, but not by a ton. And the Thunder have a better supporting cast around those 3 than the Heat do.
And the Lakers...Kobe/Bynum/Gasol...its worse as well, but not hugely. Where the Lakers struggle is with the other guys.

Horrible comparison.
Dallas had a smart team composed of veterans who weren't total baboons like the current Knicks squad. Both of the Knicks "superstars" are selfish blackholes who don't play any defense and fail to get their teammates involved.
Dallas had Dirk, a potential top 10 player of all time who can carry a team on his back. They also had role players who did their role in spreading the floor, playing defense, making timely jumpers.

it is just very difficult to guard lebron and wade at the same time. then they have shooters like chalmers, battier, and miller who can take advantage of the fact that you have to collapse on lebron and wade.
there are teams that could beat them (grizzlies and lakers have the size, and the spurs have the poise) but the knicks ain't one of them.

its demoralizing for me to watch so i can already tell how the players must be feeling.
LBJ/Wade going HAM for stretches...you cut into the lead, actually manage to play very good defense on both guys, only to have Bosh kill you. You regroup, cut into the lead again, bother the big 3, they dish it to Battier or Miller or Chalmers, bang, killer 3 again and again...drowning your hopes of a possible comeback. You go for one last run, they force a couple turnovers from you, and in a blink of an eye, you're down 15 w/ a couple mins to go...

A superstar doesn't allow his team to get bounced from the first round time and time again. That's too loose of a definition for me.
And being 'one of the best PF's in the league' doesn't make you a superstar. Otherwise we might as start calling all star weekend, superstar weekend because those players are essentially 'one of the best' playeres in their position.

A superstar doesn't allow his team to get bounced from the first round time and time again. That's too loose of a definition for me.
And being 'one of the best PF's in the league' doesn't make you a superstar. Otherwise we might as start calling all star weekend, superstar weekend because those players are essentially 'one of the best' playeres in their position.
i agree. bosh is no superstar. hes a great player but not a superstar. hell at this point wade isnt a superstar. look what those fools did when they ran the heat and raptors?
no you cant count the miami championship as wades. sorry wade homers but that was riley and shaqs shits

Nah Wade played like a superstar during the 06 run, he gets the majority of the credit for that title run. But he's slowed down since. He hasn't played like a superstar this season.
Bosh on the other hand, even at his prime/peak, was never a top 5 player in the NBA. A superstar is someone you can build a contender around, but Toronto was never able to build around Bosh.

I am Knicks fan forever
& I dont feel bad. I knew this was gonna happen
but Damn do I regret Knicks not staying on 8th Spot.
Imagine how badly knicks could've beaten Bulls without Rose. :facepalm
THIS. THIS. THIS.
I won't agree with badly, but you'd have to think that without Rose (and now with Melo back at the 4 due to Amare's insurmountable stupidity), the Knicks stood a HELL of a lot better in terms of making it to the second round, where they'd meet Boston/Hawks.
The Knicks very well may have found themselves in the ECF. But, they decided not to tank, which is honorable, but now it'll cost them.
