Like who do we have...
Spurs - Parker
OKC - Durant
Lakers - Kobe
Memphis - Gay
clippers - CP3
denver - lawson?!?!?!?
mavs - dirk
Jazz - Millsap
if anyone wants to do the east one i bet its the same result...

Average age of the Denver starters is about 24, this is a team with a lot of potential down the road. Post again when Denver takes the next 2 games at home.

Nuggets can do better than the Knicks, 76ers, Orlando and Hawks.....same goes for the Jazz....
Just because the Lakers have dominated the Nuggets so far doesn't mean they aren't any good...
OP a kobe hater so I would assume the underlying sentiment for this thread has something to do with Kobe and his image.....:lol :lol

We'll see. Playoffs are about adjustsments, so they may come out strong in Game 3. What kills me is that they sit there, make all these supposedly bold predictions they seem to have no fear of posting. But then the minute they don't pan out, they immediately start backpeddling, trying to act like people on here suddenly can't read to see exactly what it is they previously said. Then are still clueless to think people are going to take them seriously. Funniest thing I've ever seen.

Lawson has to gain the confidense in his game that will lead to more consistant production before I will label him the best player on the team, besides name one of thoses players on your list that in playing in just there third year in the league? and as a team Denver would beat or atleast compete with every team in the east other then the Heat.

I honestly don't get it. Is it because Kobe's having a good playoffs so people are looking to downplay Denver, and the Nuggets are just caught in the middle of it?
Denver lost by 4 points. They missed tons of chances and after 2 games have played pretty awful. L.A has played pretty good. Bynum has dominated, Gasol playing solid. Kobe has had 2 30+ games.
Why's Denver the worst team in the playoffs? Their the 6 seed playing the 3 seed. Look at everybody's predictions, Denver was expected to lose. It's not like they just rolled over tonight, they were 1 fumbled pass and a open missed 3 away from maybe coming out with a W tonight.

Denver's defense is probably the worst in the playoffs. Offensively tho, they ranked like 1st-5th in pretty much every offensive category. Including points in the paint, assists, bench production, points off turnovers, fastbreak points, FG%, FTA's etc.
1 1\2 bad games against a superior team all of a sudden makes them the worst? What about the Magic without Howard. Indiana vs Denver would be good. 76ers vs Denver would be another good one. NY has been a no show.

This is true, but it's not telling of how good Denver is. There's a reason they were initially compared to the '04 Pistons (not saying they're that good) after the Melo trade. They've got a really deep team with a ton of good players, just no superstars. Dwight Howard is obviously better than anybody on Denver, but I'd take Denver over Orlando with a healthy Dwight or against the Knicks with Melo and Amare, just to name a few examples.

The mentality that a team is only as good as there superstar has been ingrained into the minds a NBA fans, and that is mindset the league has created by giving favorable calls to the "star players" and the "star teams" in the "big markets" and it's a sad state, because basketball at it's purest and most beautiful form is a TEAM game.

Denver was the highest scoring team in the regular season.
The Knicks are the worst playoff team, Melo has no supporting cast. Its bad enough that its 1 vs 3 but on top of that, Miami gets all the help in the world from the officials. Lebron has an incredibly easy ride to the finals...no Amare, no Rose, no Dwight in the east...they are going to see all mediocre teams...and probably still lose  After all, they lost to the Mavs in the finals, the same Mavs that are about to get eliminated in the first round.

horrible defense, fast break based offense by committee. They are a team built to win games in the regular season and that's it. Pretty horrible roster, even worse because these scrubs are too good to tank with so they will now be stuck in mediocrity for awhile.

2 weeks ago everyone was saying Melo is the best scorer in the league, some were even caliming that he was the best player in the league, add DPOY Chandler and JR 'the missing piece' Smith and the Knicks were supposed to at least be competitive against the Heat.
How is that team worse than Orlando? There best 2 players are Jameer Nelson and Big Baby.

Their defense is a problem, and their size is a really problem, I think they should've kept Nene, Javale McGee is always going to be held back by his IQ.
And Denver's half court offense is a huge problem, it's really been bad. Game 2 was really wild though, and they had a legitimate chance to win it, but they had a lot of extremely stupid, unnecessary turnovers which limited their comeback, and their defense got better forcing LA to use a ton of clock, but then they kept allowing offensive rebounds at the worst possible time. That's one of the big problems with LA having such a massive size advantage. Denver also has often had smaller players on Kobe.
It's a bad match up for Denver, and you simply need more size and more a half court game, preferably a post player to really compete in the playoffs. And of course, it's tough to win when you don't have a good, or even pretty good defense. Thjey're simply missing a lot and clearly a limited team.

Denver is really not that bad, LA is just the worst possible matchup for them. The three best post players happen to play for LA.....and to make matters worst those three guys are the best players in the series.
They honestly should have tanked for OKC.
