View Full Version : Probationary period is over. Shaq sucks in media.

Shaq tested the wrong waters after his career. He should be humbled right about now. The unarticulated but knowledgeable role will always belong to Chuck, not him. His quietness shows he is not truly knowledgeable outside of his experience. He is even learning more about the game in his retirement more than ever.

I wouldn't mind Shaq if he was on any crew other than the TNT one. Ernie, Kenny, and Barkley have amazing chemistry and put together a great show and Shaq just ruins that.

Just looked like a piece of paper.

you know the Three Musketeers? It's perfect. they don't need a 4th musketeer to come in and ruin the chemistry and hog the attention and try really really hard to fit in with the other three musketeers.

Shaq is the 4th Musketeer.

have to agree. He brings nothing to improve it and it does make it awkward at times.

Shaq tries to be funny, but he ends up looking like a hater. You can tell Barkley & Kenny don't like him, but Ernie is always kissing his a.ss.

Shaq on NBATV with Chris Webber? That's fine.

Shaq on TNT? Do not want.

Shaq is only there cause he is Shaq, which is stupid, the material he brings is ordinary as shit. Compare his responses to the other 3 and hes as dull as a stone wall, he just doesnt fit in, Chris Webber or G-money would be 10x better than him.

He's "OK" I guess, but he's worth keeping when he argues with Chuck. :oldlol:

hey c'mon let's not get too personal! I have never read the book.
I tried too hard with my response and it was ill-informed and fell flat (kind of like Shaq on TNT)

I'm an idiot, alright. My naivete was illuminated.

It's just that he tries to fill the role of the uncouth funny ex player that Barkley already fills. And he's a lot worse at it. So he's redundant as well as unfunny.

C-Webb is much better, but honestly they don't even really need a fourth person up there most of the time. Not sure why they're always tinkering with it.

Shaq has been a disaster on TNT, and it was predictable. He was never funny or insightful to me. Just a boring mumbler with nothing of value to contribute.

I guess he is there to stay for the long haul. 3 years to be infact  Probably raped TNT for big bucks too, earns more than Chuck and Kenny solely for his presense. CWebb or Reggie in the studio was not this bad. Shaq has less than ISH poster type of knowledge. All he talks about is himself and his dominance in the 2'000's.

Shaq was asking some dumb ass questions....
:facepalm :facepalm :facepalm

Chuck: what percent do you feel you are currently at?
-Zbo answers question
Shaq: I've been in situations as well where injured and having to return, how do you really feel?
-Zbo answers with the EXACT same fukkin answer

Shaq: It first starts with Belief, do you BELIEVE you can win in the next to rounds?

Shaq actually for once made a good point, he was talking about Carmelo laughing after a game, and I really don't understand why Carmelo does that. I actually think that's part of the reason why he's clutch but it just seems weird to me that he's smiling and laughing after a game is over.

strifed169

No offense to Shaq but he brings too much proffesionalism to the show and is always serious and when he tries to be funny its forced with a fake ass laugh, he doesn't belong on that panel with the original 3.

I've always wondered the same thing. Apparently its his nature...

[QUOTE]In the moments after he had led Syracuse to its first national championship, someone asked the freshman with the glowing countenance why, even at the most critical times in the title game in the Superdome, was he smiling?

 a big WTF formed in front of me when i noticed this part of the segment as well.

i think c-webb is pretty good, he's laid back without interrupting the flow. tnt should ether bring c-webb in or allow for players as guests.

he s immature, frustrated, uneducated, he looks like a bum compared to the others. He s just there cause some marketing genius thought he would appeal to a younger audience but fact is he makes the whole thing feel incredibly awkyard everytime he s there. When i see him i think "oh no, not him again".
Enough with that shit, he just doesnt fit and ruins it all, gtfo.
