That's about 95% of the league. Only real humble superstars left are Durant and Rose.

If bynum had the same mentality as rondo, he would be the clear cut best center in the league.

"Hard As a MFer." Which may be an exaggeration in this case (he didn't curse or hit the cameraman) but Rondo was clearly pissed.

Ms Bachelor will learn to accept Rajon for who he is over time. It may be too soon to explain the situation to the daughter, but then again, with the increasingly socially progressive society we live in it may be wrongheaded to believe withholding such information from children is the right course of action. Even when the child is so directly related to the person in question.

Rondo is the star, not his family, so film Rondo only and leave his family outta this

agree with your 'you are going to be filmed in public' call but this looks backstage/players area where rondo is entitled to defend his family's privacy against pest photographers IMO

It was a few minutes after a playoffs game IN the NBA arena and NBA milti-millionaire STAR was filmed by a media. Yeah this was a weird situation....

WTF

He was not filmed in his backyard. It was happening in NBA arena. He wants privacy for his family? They can wait for him outside or in the hotel room (if they were not headed straigh back to Boston after the game).

Which the cameramen clearly had access to. So it is not some private spot of his where he can demand that type of thing . Deal with it, or don't bring your family along.

he did deal with it, you saw the clip right?

he's got a highly public profile, yes, but does that mean he can't tell someone to stop filming him and his family so they can have a private moment in a very public place?

He can tell them. It just won't happen, because the cameraman doesn't need to. That is what he needs to deal with.

If he can't develop a consistent jumper he won't be a superstar. If cameras piss him off when he wants a private moment with his family then he's just one of a million celebrities that doesn't want to be taped all the time. Do you think this somehow really matters?

Maybe you don't get it, but being a superstar means being able to cope with the media and paparazzi. You can become a superstar by dominating on the court but you won't grow into one as long as you let this shit get to you.

You talk about coping as if this is a major incident. Did he kick him in the nads like Rodman? Was there an insulting tirade? Does Rondo have a history of off-court incidents? Or did he firmly tell the cameraman to stop taping him? There's a reason why the TNT analysts just laughed at the whole thing. Barkley and O'Neal have probably even been in his shoes before. He didn't want to be filmed. This is not going to keep him from being a great player. The inability to be a guy you can count on to hit the game-winning shot, that's an important flaw. This? Please.

I thought this thread was about his behavior off the court? Why do you keep bringing his Basketball flaws into this? As I said in my post he can become a superstar on the court but being a superstar off the court is a whole different beast. Is it too complex for you to understand this cause it is really simple.

Totally. The cameraman got his feeling hurt and now feels that Rondo hates him. Rondo should pay some kind of emotional compensation for this incident.

Charlie Sheen. Lindsey Lohan. Brittney Spears. And we could go on. You become a superstar because of what you do within your entertainment field, not because you're willing to let paparazzi tape you 24/7 and never act out in any way. Rondo's reaction isn't even being covered by anyone beyond this thread and I'm pretty sure he's still got his deals with Nike, Red Bull, and whoever else. This is nothing. If he had hit him or at least cursed him out we might have something worthy of a little concern.

It's not like it's the press conference, or during the game, or halftime or anything like that. The Camera man had no reason to film him, I wouldn't be happy either. Rondo's reaction, is exactly what the camera man could have wanted, see, instant viral hits. Best thing to do in a public place is to just walk away and ignore the camera man.

they are/were stars primarily because of how they handled themselves on their personal lives.
Sheen starred in several major motion pictures and a hit TV series. Spears was at one time the top teen singing sensation in the country. Lohan was also big in movies. That's why they're superstars. And even after acting out in ways that are light years beyond Rondo simply telling a cameraman to stop filming himself and his family they can still get work. To say that the little snit with the paparazzi is going to keep Rondo from whatever stardom he can attain is silly. Unless he starts smoking crack, gets convicted of rape, or at least beats someone up this thread is just a silly piece of hyperbole. I've had ESPN on all day and it's not been mentioned once. This is nothing.
