6-7 game series. The Clippers will give SA some competition unlike what the Grizzlies would have done. The Clippers might even win. It's good that the haters always underestimate them, that works in their favor.

kurt_rambis

no one gave them a chance against memphis, look how that turned out

spurs are old and are hardly invincible. they can obviously be beaten by a younger, hungrier team, as last years playoffs showed

clippers winning shouldn't shock anyone. still, it's pretty unlikely heh

It's going to depend on how nick young, mo williams, reggie evans, and kenyon martin play a factor in this series. The starters match up pretty well against the Spurs starters, but if the Clippers bench starts digressing, the Spurs will eat them alive.

Clippers consistently underachieve and don't play to their player's strengths. Spurs do the opposite. I could honestly see the Spurs winning this in 4, but I'm guessing it'll go 5.

OK, seriously what's wrong with a lot of you (those who claim Clipps in 7). Clippers sweeping the Spurs is much more likely than them winning a game 7 at San Antonio. If Clippers are going to win, it's going to be in 6. Acting like Clippers can't win within six, but stand considerable chances on game 7 is (no offense, but. . .) pretty stupid.

BTW my pick is Spurs in 4. And I'm rooting for LAC.

Don't really care who wins this one cuz, IMO, both of these teams are overrated. If the Clippers do pull off the upset, it'll simply prove what I've been saying all along. That the Spurs do the same thing every year, and every year they get eliminated.

If Paul does dominate Parker and griffin outplays the spurs front court then the clippers certainly stand a chance.

it took them 7 games to get out of the first round against Memphis. and they almost lost that one, and you think they'll beat Spurs in 5? :facepalm with both an injured CP3 and Griffin

People are acting like the Spurs dismantled the Clippers in the regular season. The series was 1-2 and the Clippers would've been 2-1 against them if it wasn't for that retarded Ryan Gomes inbound pass at the end of the game in February which then lead to that Gary Neal wide open 3. But I think the Clippers actually matchup well with San Antonio.

IF and a BIG IF Blake is anywhere near healthy, I doubt any of the Spurs big can guard him, he grabbed 20 boards in one of the games against Blair, Duncan, Bonner, and Leonard who all took turns guarding him and couldn't box him out. Mo Williams and CP3 also exploded against the Spurs backcourt and they can again. This time we also have Eric Bledsoe to guard TP unlike in the regular season when Bledsoe was injured and not healthy.

fair enough. you make good points but i just think SA's offense is much more nuanced. if VDN throws bledsoe out there and he slows down TP, i'll give him props. i just don't ihink VDN will do that and i think pop's been olding back manu and pop will open the offense

SA's perimeter D is what can slow down clippers bench. i wouldn't count on mo will. if clips can go six, i'd be happy. if not, might have well give the ship to heat

Mo williams hit 7 threes in that game and the clippers as a whole was on fire from three. Could have easily been 3-0 also.

I like the clippers but they are some time away. Especially with cp3 and blake not 100%.

Spurs are too experienced and too well coached. They are 42 and 7 (or something crazy like that) since the end of january.

Cp3 and griff may win one but imo this series isnt going past 5 games

Uh, Parker didn't play during the Clippers sole win against the Spurs this year. Also, Jefferson/Blair were in the starting lineup that game. Since then, Blair has moved down to the 11th man for the team after acquiring Diaw. RJ was also traded away for Jackson. Clippers have yet to play the current Spurs squad.

Yet Clippers beat Thunder 3-1 in the series with their starting SG out in 3 games. Clippers match up favorably and you aren't fooling anybody. Grizzlies fans had the same delusions.
