When I taught 5th grade I had a special needs student try to pull that off, unintentionally. She saw me wear glasses one day (prescription) and then bam, the next day she came in with her own pair, lenseless. I had to call her out. She said she needed them to see better and I told her they didn't have any lenses. She didn't believe me, so then reached through the frame with a finger and gently poked her eye.

Turns out she started a trend.
