After rewatching that video, I think Ron dropped the knee on purpose. Westbrook's elbow landed on Ron's calf, not the back of his knee. An elbow to the calf wouldn't cause the knee to buckle while an elbow to the back of the knee would. However, I don't really blame Artest for dropping that knee after receiving an elbow to the leg, because this was all initiated by Westbrook either way.
