Help with a NBA Jersey...

Do you guys think this is fake or legit? I'm buying it off a person who sells jerseys on kijiji. Asked him to send me pics thankfully and am kind of having second thoughts. Need your guys's take on this. Thanks.

The blue is definitely off but that could be from his lighting/camera.

EDIT: Actually, the longer I looked at it.... the blue and red on the NBA seemed fine so I don't see how it can be the camera/lighting.

I'd back off unless it's ridiculously cheap.

Definitely does not look legit to me. I dunno what style you're going for though. Do you want the real authentic on-court jerseys, or do you want what the NBA calls "swingman" jerseys? A swingman jersey is not quite the same design and color as the ones worn on court, but they're still legit jerseys that are sanctioned by the NBA.

He's selling it for 50 bucks. Authentic jerseys around my area go for around 80-90. And I'm also not sure if Adidas makes the jerseys with holes in them anymore? I could be wrong though. And I'm looking to get any of the authentic or swing an jerseys. As long as it isn't fake lol.

And clearly see that this is not that. The meshed material and glossy material create a pattern on the front and back of the jersey which is clearly not there in the picture you posted in the OP. It looks like it is entirely mesh.

Also, maybe it is just the lighting of the picture, but that jersey looks a lot darker than the real ones.

Frankly, it looks a little bootleg and the price would make sense if that is the case.

The link is an authentic jersey. Like the one's the players actually use in the game.

The jersey the guy is selling for $50 are swing men jersey. They sell those for around $90 on NBA, Adidas and other sport stores. They sell them for about $100 here in Canada in footlocker and champs wear.

The coloring is off, but that could be just the camera and lighting. I say it's real, but I'm not the one looking for a jersey. If you're really unsure, go with another seller.

1. it would have the adidas patch on the right side of the jersey (right when you wear it, left on the picture) directly opposite of the NBA logo near your armpit area

That was the first thing I thought of, too, but it has been awhile since I bought an actual authentic NBA jersey, so I did some checking to make sure they were still numbered sizes and not lettered.

It appears as though even though even the authentics do the L, XL, XXL, etc. thing, now. Take a look at the zoomed in pic...

That's not true at all, but you're right saying it's 100% fake.

To the OP, you could buy that jersey off one of the numerous fake jersey websites for less than $30. Spend $50 on that and you're just a sucker.

Again, there was a time when the sizing was listed with a number on the tag, but they changed it in the past few years. I have several authentic jerseys from the 90s and early-00s that have numbers where the L, XL, XXL currently are.

Not a very good fake. There's sites out there that sell some damn good fakes for cheaper than $50. I bought a fake NFL jersey for $40 that was way higher quality material than most of the $120ish dollar official jerseys and looked damn good. Just look around online, they're out there.

hm, i stand corrected on the numbering on authentic jerseys..... i forgot they went back to the lettering system after the change to rev30 jerseys a couple years back.


@OmniStrife i think the westbrook jersey you posted is still a fake... the real swingmans are only made in honduras now i believe. anything that says made in vietnam is just a high quality fake from china if i am not mistaken :roll:

edit: yeah that westbrook jersey ominstrife posted is definitely a fake, the letter M in oklahoma is off the mark
