its not about how many rings you have, its about how many you won them

jordan won 6 as the absolute best player in the league

kobe won 3 as a second option to prime shaq, and 2 with gasol when he wasn't even for certain the best performer on his team

Yes I agree, but Kobetards are always trying to legitimize kobe's 5 rings. They can say nothing when it comes to clear distinction: 6 > 5

Doesn't matter. They'll always compare him to Jordan despite some very glaring failures. I thought they would stop after 2004 vs. the Pistons, 2006 vs. the Suns, 2008 vs. the Celtics, 2010 vs. the Celtics, and 2011 vs. the Mavs. This series won't change anything, just like those didn't. Same thing goes for Lebron.

Strong denial.....I feel even worse for Lakers fans since that means Kobe will take and hoist up as many shots as he already does and maybe even more.

Kobe isn't winning a ring anymore unless LeBron plans on joining the Lakers when his contract is up or if Kobe demands a trade to a championship team.

Jordan was an entirely different person. So what, now we NEGATE another player's accolades because he doesnt "live up" to another player?

Thats silly, immature, and a sad way to look at sports. If this is all you kids have to cling to, then you need to go to sleep.

absurd. Absolutely absurd. Lakers have more than enough pieces to move around in order to make this team a contender.

Think Thunder fans need to worry about winning with this team before the salary cap rips them apart. OKC will likely NEVER have a better chance than this year. So, Imma feel bad for thunder fans if/when the Spurs beat them.

This is a chicken egg situation. Kobe's merry band of retards (aided by media hype to cause controversy) pushed the Kobe Jordan stuff. Had that not happened, I guarantee you it wouldnt have been an issue because NO ONE who knows Jordan's career ever supported it. Lebron was ALWAYS compared to Jordan in his Cleveland days. The main reason that cooled down is cause he's now considered a choker by some, and someone who teamed up with Wade by others.

Dude, Kobe could get 10 rings, he's still not in Jordan's area code. The Bulls winning 6 chips isn't what makes Jordan the best player. Ringless Jordan in 1990 was already a better player than anyone ever had been or has been since.

At the end of the day, all of the people that were rooting for the Lakers to fail, tomorrow they'll have to wake up and have the same life that they had before they woke up today. They got the same personal problems they had today and the Lakers are going to continue to live the way they want to live and continue to do the things they want to do.

Russell won his teams 14 major Titles in 13 years...

But Kobe Bryant is definatley on MJ's level....pretty much all the basketball community / Kobe's peers/NBA coaches agree...

I get the hate and all for Kobe (and Lebron and Wade - fyi, i'm embarrassed ti admit that I am a Raptors fan), but to suggest he can not be a number one scoring option for a championship team is ludicrous.

Sure he's getting up there in age, but seems to have made little difference on his athleticism.

His team just got beat by a better team. I wonder how well the Lakers would have done had they not traded Odom...

yeah slightly different now .. he was 25 then .. now he's about to turn 34, old, beat up, declining .. what is it with you kobe stans .. you're all delusional like your boy chokbe 'im not fading into the shadows' bryant :oldlol: .. it's bad when you can't or refuse to realize you're not what you used to be .. bryant better adjust or his twilight years will become embarrassing

What's embarrassing is you sitting there trying to diss Kobe by saying he's old, when that same "old guy" won titles back in '09 and '10, making you look POINTLESS and stupid. You do realize that you're contradicting yourself....right?:facepalm

Now....that's embarrassing:lol

yes,

LAL system delivered Kobe 5 rings with Shaq, Gasol, Bynum, Odom & some terrific clutch close out shooters like Fisher, Horry.

you all act like Kobe won these guys a ring like Jordan did for bulls over & over again.

Jordan........

.417 winning percentage without Pippen on his team....

1 - 10 in the playoff's (thats 1 win...1 F'ing game) without Pippen

5 Losing seasons without pippen...(1/3rd of his career he was on a Losing team)

retired and the Bull's won 55 games and nearly won a Title (only slipped 2 games from the year before)

won 3 titles with 3 HOF's on his team....got codddled by the refs more then any player ever.

jordan stans are a silly lot

No one but the most delusional Kobe fan boys put Kobe anywhere near MJ's level...all you got left is longetivity and if Kobe doesn't get a clue he is no longer in his prime and keeps trying to hero ball his way to a title, he gonna see his sorry career FG% get even uglier.

Bull's had winning records vs Indiana and Houston that year....they lost to NY on a bad call in 7 games...

easily get past Indy and had beaten houston twice that year.

LOL at you and your Lebron avatar. You're on a different ****ing bandwagon every day :oldlol:

Exactly, they have him near him but most know and acknowledge Jordan was clearly the better player. Comparable? Sure. Better? GTFOH.

Only a small % of idiotic online fans think Kobe's the actual better player.

why are these kobetards still trying to argue? Just move on with your life and find a new potential to look up to. Kobe had his chance but wasnt talented enough, it's a shame i know... But thats what happens when you are trying to compare him to mj. Time to start searching for a new "god" folks.

Kobe will never win another championship as a player on the Lakers. He is fading and not producing the play necessary to lead a championship team ((especially with Mike Brown as coach).

Even his stans can't get around that.

(Now watch those ****s somehow get Dwight and Deron... )

imdaman99

Even if he reached 10 rings he would never be as good as Jordan was, Jordan was a much better individual player....... championship is a team accomplishment, anybody can get rings....
expected from a huge lebron rider
