I agree with the people saying that at least he does his own thing. AI was a trendsetter in the league. People followed his fashion for a looooong time, but he wasn't doing it because it was in style he was doing it because it was HIM. Iverson is just connected with his roots. I have no problem with it. He does go over-board sometimes, definitely, but here it's fine.

The Hipster shenanigans athletes pull for today is the real epidemic. It's just really retarded. There's expression, and then there's questioning of mental health. It should be a violation of a dress code to dress the way guys like Durant, Harden, Russel, Wade, James and so on do. I feel embarrassed as a fan of these players whenever I see them wearing what they wear off the court.

Absolute truth. Hell, Allen Iverson started the damn shooting sleeve for christ sakes. The NBA needs to jump back a couple decades in style, when Jordan walked into every arena with real swag.

It was fittingly ironic actually.

Iverson took so much flack just for being him and dressing the way he did and wearing cornrows and everything. Now, dudes are tattooed to hell (Birdman) and dressing any kind of way they want to. They are free to do things Iverson got crucified for.

I think the key is having different styles. I wear shit that looks like a teenager might wear it, but I've also got nice clothes. Most shorts or jeans that are baggy or long look like that.

I personally don't like jeans, but I don't like shorts that are tight, either. That's the main "kid style" I still have, the knee length shorts.

I think Ivo has a youthful appearance so he can pull it off. I don't mind his jeans, but wearing a jersey is kind of wack...

What on earth is Westbrook wearing? Even Steve Urkel had more fashion sense than that.

No one says you need to come in an Armani tux... a button up from a decent place like Brooks Brothers or Vineyard Vines (sh*t, I'm whitewashed lol) and nice pants/khakis and shoes would be more than enough.

I'm clueless on fashion, and all of that shit, though the hipster thing looks asinine to me. I'm not sure when that became so popular, I thought it was more the artist types in Williamsburg who dressed like that.

They can wear what they want though, just like anyone else. I'd feel like an asshole wearing that, but again, I'm clueless on those things, never understood the preppy shit either.

As far as Iverson, just like anyone else, he can dress the way he wants. He's not an old man by any stretch either. I've known many guys in their 30's even 40's who wear baggy jeans, jerseys ect. If it's how you're comfortable, who gives a ****? And it's not uncommon either. Not everyone turns 30, or 35 and just starts dressing like a professional type.

I agree with what others have said. It's cool that he dresses like himself regardless of trends.

Iverson doesn't have "small stature" at all in the real world. Only in the NBA. Otherwise, he's pretty tall. He looks pretty young, but he's not exactly old by any stretch either. he's still a relatively young man.
