I actually used to live in TX.. Killeen TX to be exact.
I remember by dad saying that it used to cost 10 bucks to fill up his tank. I put in 20 bucks today and that can only get me to work and back twice.

we used to be able to just drive around for fun it was so damn cheap.
I'd fill up my Explorer and we'd hit up all the back roads expanding our minds. :lol

yes I noticed gas prices were looking low the last time I filled up...
It would be strange to see it in the $2.00 range...it's been so long
but the "dooms" crowd will still be here to remind us that the country is screwed and the US is about to implode

what I love are the people around here in Dallas pissed at Obama for the gas prices being high who were the exact same ones saying it was in no way Bush's fault when they were high under him.
Whats even funnier are the people who are surprised when it goes up in the summer.
Umm... it ALWAYS goes up in the summer. People have the memory capabilities of goldfish it seems.
of course, the real issue with gas prices are the market speculators but I guess it would be attacking capitalism to call them out for repeatedly f-ing everyone over with their casino gambling ways.

People in Europe pay more for gas, and have forever. The way the price of gas is politicized in the U.S. is hilarious. It's like Americans don't understand that oil prices are set by the global market, and America has little or nothing to do with it. The fact that oil/gas prices are used in political campaigns in the U.S. is laughable at best.

Haha, remember back in the day when you jumped in your car, saw it was low on gas, so you just pulled out a crusty old 20-dollar bill out of your pocket and you were good? Tank filled. Muhaha, seems like a joke now.

Judging from the number of SUVs on the road here in Los Angeles, I would say gas prices are too low. I would LOVE to see a $2/gallon gas tax here with that money going toward subway lines.

We're so so close to an electric car revolution. But they need one more battery breakthrough.
I think the electric car is perfect for the two car home. Use the electric for your day to day commuting and neighborhood driving. Use the gas engine for weekend trips and long range needs.
